Caught on CCTV: Moment woman attacks member of the public

If it wasn't a SHE and was a HE, this would be a non-story. And people are all for equality and no sexism????

Clearly the two shop owners went all military on someone for parking in front of their shop, the irony is, he was less than a minute popping to get some cash. Even if that was a disabled/reserved for customers only parking bay, he's not caused any harm. Yes, he may have parked illegally, but haven't we all done it when nipping to the cash point?

From what I can see, the man elderly man in front of the car, kicks the front bumper, resulting in a reaction from the driver. Probably what he was looking for. And despite the driver going back to the car to get away, she throws a punch! Bad reaction from the driver, should have been a bigger man, but agree with others that it was a natural instinct reaction as being swung at.

This is a new bit of information, can that be seen from the other angle or is it still interpretation?

As if he did kick the front of the guys car, he was lucky to just have his glasses knocked off!

I could imagine even the most placid Freefaller would take exception to someone kicking the front of his pride and joy :p

Just my interpretation, from the visual in the bonnet and why else he'd go to the front of the car

Equal rights? absolutely the wrong way to apply them.

Measured response situations, anyone if the context allows (timing, opportunity, situation) should measure their response in relation to the threat posed by the person attempting to harm them. Apparent physical capability of your opponent and their ability to harm you, what it would take to stop them should be paramount.

In that situation the guy could have simply put out his hand and held her at arms length or pushed her away.

That's not hating women or denying them equal anything, it's composure, being better than the idiot in front of you.

I'm not excusing what she did either, she is obviously stupid and has no excuse for resorting to violence.

Yes I wouldn't be happy. I doubt I'd punch someone though - I'd like to believe that I'd only hit someone in self defense... but we never know how we would react until we are placed in that situation!
 
I'm looking forward to seeing the court case, lots of speculation in this thread in favour of either side but without audio there is no complete story.
 
Stupid woman punched the wrong person. The feminists will be out in force but she did push and hit him first and got a taste of her own medicine.

Edit = Saw the 2nd view, a bit of handbags and really the punch was very light and she only broke her jaw because she wobbled over and ate the pavement.

Would never have punched the old gobby cow myself though but some old people think they can act as they please.

I agree, a frail old person hits you and does no damage and isn't likely to do so again, but if she hurt him with her punch, as funny as that may seem, he has every right to restrain her the best way he see's fit.

If he had pushed her back and she fell hitting her head and died as a result the headlines would be all over the place, its easy to arm chair quarterback and claim what you would have done.

Man you think way faster than i can.

In the what 0.5 of a second from him being attwcked to retaliate I'd have had no chance to have even worked out who it was let alone thier ability to harm me

But he wasnt even looking at her when she's punch him so

His perspective is suddenly theres a fist in his face and hes quickly jabbed back at whoever is there
