So wise ones. I found a cockatiel definitely domestic as I am pretty sure wild ones wouldn't be willing to be picked up and caged.

My local vets are fully booked until tomorrow so they wont scan it to see if its chipped. Apparently pretty rare for birds to be chipped.

So assuming it's not, any recommendation for tracking down the owner?

Anything I need to know about keeping one overnight?

Facebook?

I am guessing you don't have a random bird cage floating about so no idea what you can put it in! Give it a little bowl of water and some bread - It seems to work for the Blackbirds :D

Is it a Margarita or a Shirley Temple?

If there's lipstick on the glass you could track down the owner via DNA.

Yes, keep it in the fridge overnight.

Nope you're right I don't but it does fit in a hamster cage so that parts sorted :D.

Never thought of bread thanks :).

Pics of Cockatiel?

Great pet birds they are!

They will eat most things crunchy, mine liked eating dry cereal, or flying over when I was eating anything to investigate and maybe help himself to a small piece of grub.

Put little found cards in your local Co-Op's community board thing and news agents. If it's a tame bird then someone will no doubt be missing their pet.

Otherwise, enjoy your new noisy houseguest I guess?
