Going to get a cable made for my AKG K7XX but do you see any problems?

So my dog chewed through my headphone cable so im going to treat myself to a nice cable.

I have a mod mic and was thinking of getting a weaved cable with 3 wires. 2 for headphones and a third for my mod mic. My idea is to get my mod mic terminated with say 50mm of cable and a male 3.5mm jack then the headphone cables 3rd mic cable termianted at the headphone end with a female 3.5mm.

Does this idea seem sound or not?

Well headsets do it, so I don't see why not, as long as it's well put together.

Are you doing it yourself? I'd like a shorter cable than the standard one and doesn't seem many about. I'd love a half black half red to match the headphones. Could I send my Boom pro somewhere so they could make a short version of it with better wire as it seems a bit flimsy. I have no knowledge of these things.

Nah im going to get one made by pexon pcs. I spoke to them today and the site should be back up later tonight or tomorrow as they have been getting too many orders to handle with their small team. As for your mic Im not sure if they would be willing to do it. They might be willing to braid and shorten it maybe.

Oh thanks I couldn't find any UK sites. All I really want is a standard AKG 3.5mm to mini XJR in red and black for when I'm not using my mic. That shouldn't be too hard?
