Is the strikers set generally considered the best for a high dps build? I'm considering swapping out my sentry knees for the strikers ones. That would mean id be 2X strikers, 2X sentry and 2X nomad.

Has anyone had a gear set drop on a mission yet? Maybe I'm just not playing enough but not happened for me to date...

They won't drop in missions unless its from a Challenging mode named Elite

Big debate on this.

Strikes has a 1% damage increase per hit, but decreases 2% with a miss. It appears to be very situational. Get yourself something with a large mag (like an LMG) aim at a target that you can't miss, and you can stack your damage boost up high, then switch to another target and land a few high DPS shots before the buff starts to drop off.

However, using this buff with an SMG where you get lots of misses seems very ineffectual. But if you can get it to wprk, you can stack this buff across multiple group members and all get a damage boost.

The Senty's set however, gives a 15% headshot damage boost per bullet hit, up to a max of 3 bullets. Its essentially a debuff on the person you're shooting so you can't stack it across team members for a 135% increase like you can with strikers. But its much easier to obtain as you only have to hit the head 3 times and then everybody in your group gets a headshoot damage boost hitting that person.

TLDR Version:

Sentry is probably better because its easier to get and less punishing when you miss.

Cheers:) one last question, are sentry gloves and chest known to drop anywhere other than the incursion and challenging missions?

I think they maybe drop from supply drops in the DZ.

I want to see if I can get a good pair of sentry gloves with some +smg (or other weapon damage to reconfigure) damage so I can have 3 strikers and 3 sentry with good damage, or try out the 4 sentrys...

I got a good supressor last night which are usually terrible for "dps" but this one is only okish, so I think if I pop it on my MP5 it will up my surviavability even more by not getting aggro :D

With both of those challenge would be even easier imo

I'll be on tonight from about half 6... Would love to do some russian consulate to get gloves and as I have said before to see how it plays since we took forever to do it that first time.

Fallin asleep at work today thanks to the 3am DZ finish and 3.5hrs sleep.

I have had a few greens from supply drops but all 191 gear but none from challenge missions or DZ bosses but not been in the DZ much lately.

All 191 gear from hard incursions as well but not tried it on Challenging yet but might do tonight at 10 ish when I finish work.

I have four strikers pieces equipped and 2 sentrys call and its a pretty damn good combination but only due the mods I have on my weapons which keeps them fairly in control in terms of recoil.

I can do CM Lexington and keep my buff at least 50% the whole way through as my weapons have good stability and I don't miss much.

For example, MP5 standard damage is 10.5k for me, at 100% buff that is 21k of damage being pelted in enemies at 1400RPM with a 59 round mag size....Pretty intense for the big dudes. Even having the 50% buff or a buff on cool down for the shotgunners etc is just funny to watch.

Then when you consider I have 30% enemy damage on the sentrys gear set, 145% crititcal hit damage it just wipes the floor with any enemy.

HOWEVER....all of the above is pure PVE gains which don't translate completely to PVP. For PVP I can generally keep the buff around 30% with the occasional 50-70% against players but its a lot harder to keep up whilst rogue etc

I am wrecked as well today but will be on tonight also. Probably the same time as yesterday.

The last thing I did last night was swap out pistol damage on my gloves for more health on kill, and also removed a small % of crit hit chance for even more health on kill as I was getting melted last night for no reason even though my stam is on 90k ffs.

Maybe it just because I was being a hero and running into fire haha

Wanted to say big thank you to Gregster, Muska & Tess for letting me come on incursion with them last night, especially given I was probably more of a hinderance at times than the actual mobs >< .

Also does anyone know where a decent sniper drops or can be crafted via blueprint (not including DZ)?

Yea, Lexi is really good for keeping up the buff, but some other missions and the DZ it doesn't seem to stack much for me. I think they would complement each other though, in PVE and PVP, if I have 4 sentry equipped and you have 4 strikers imagine the DPS! Might even craft some sentry knee pads tonight if I don't get a glove drop as I don't think I've actually seen anyone use the 4 sentry bonus yet.

Yea, having a lot of health on kill is good, mine is technically 37% atm 24 instant and 13% over 5 seconds. Which is why you always see me rushing at the enemy in CM and not getting killed.

I don't have my actual stats to plug in to my DPS calculator atm but I think I probably heal anywhere from 1.5 - 4k damage per second (including reload time) from the other MP5 perk (assuming 100% hit rate).

I think I like this build so much because even though the weapon DPS may be worse I can just go at the enemy non stop without retreating to cover much so overall it's a net benefit. Also maybe you should try out the perk that gives you 30% damage reduction when you kill an enemy whilst moving.

Anyone know what the rogue timers are off the top of their head? i know hitting a player a few times is 20s. whats a kill? then stacks?

That would be quite the epic combination.

I have stupidly deconstructed or sold all the other green gear I had so need to get more to rebuild the set.

I might even buy some of the blueprints off the DZ vendor as well as the BoO and see what I can come up with.

I will need to test health on kill later on and see how I get on.

chanjy - the above is what ends up being a 3am finish lol!! Focusing on stats to get as much as possible out of the gear. Its one of my favourite things about the game to be honest.

20s for a shot without downing.
120s for downing without kill
180s for killing

I think! That is what I observed last night.

cheers. was clearing a drop with a group of 2 last night, one of them got hosed trying to claim it, me and the other guy tidied up but he was slightly ahead of me running to the crate. was tempted for a split second to whack a sticky bomb on his back :D

:P I have the same temptations but more often than not, I cant fight the temptation and go rogue lol!! Then get tanked by large groups of players.
