And we are driving to a pub we have only been to once.

I know there are a couple of pubs Vox has in mind for when then weather gets better as they have large gardens but small interiors.

put me down as a maybe. :p

Put the Corolla down as a maybe too...

I liked the location of the super southern meet X, the drive from the hotel car park to the pub was great, as was the massive long bench outside in the sun, and the field car park. Only on a good day mind. :)

Mind you I did end up scraping hedges a few times to get past things, which I didn't mind doing in my old Polo, but I'm not so keen on doing that now!

its not about being closer, just seems to be very same going else where might tempt other members

The hassle with going to other places is that we've then got to find another pub that can cater for groups of 15 sitting in reasonably close proximity, have the space in the car park for us to park and loiter without annoying the regulars, AND have good roads in close proximity for any driving. Not to sound lazy but to be honest it all becomes a bit high effort at that point for something that started out as a regular meet up for a group of friends to talk about cars :)

As badger says once the weather hots up a bit then things get easier as we can sit outside in a big group, have already got another pub in mind for the one after this.

Agreed that location is fantastic, it suits the larger Southern meets that SoliD does an excellent job of putting on but they're his thing. Plus the south coast is completely alien to me so who knows where we'd end up with my navigation skills!

I could do a pretty good Southern run, but I wouldn't enjoy it myself because I drive all the epic roads round here all the time. :p
