Caught on CCTV: Moment woman attacks member of the public

He doesn't though, the guy points at him and whilst clearly giving him abuse, it's the old guy that then gets physical at which point the young guy flicks his glasses off and walks away.

Well we have to agree to disagree then because the 2nd video clearly shows the driver firstly aggressively getting in the elderly gentleman's face and then jabbing a finger at him which looks to me like it touches the elderly chap. One can only imagine the amount of verbal abuse the driver is giving here as well.

Hence...the reaction from the elderly chap.

I've always said I thought the driver was the aggressor and initiator of the violence and I don't think I am wrong after looking at the evidence closely.

No doubt I will get some jibber jabber saying to me otherwise but I trust logic, reason and fair sound judgement......not jibber jabber.

Good day to you!

I can't believe this is still being discussed. There are still those that believe the driver scum despite him being abused by the old guy and physically attacked by the woman. He's hit out and beat a hasty retreat, the fact that the woman tried to punch him, the old guy is clearly having a go at him, the fact that he nearly rips his car door off... None of that is a problem but the driver is somehow subhuman scum.

He's been judged without having done anything by what he's driving and what he's wearing. How understanding of you all. I reckon if you asked them many females would agree that if they were to attack anyone they'd expect the same back.

Lastly, the idiocy of someone physically attacking someone much younger, bigger and stronger than them blows me away.

He was looking for a confrontation just as much as the older couple were, he wasn't innocently picked on by them for no reason or chased down the street while attempting escape. He seemingly makes no effort to defuse the situation or remove himself from it until after he hit the woman.

I suppose you'll find some excuse for him not wearing a seatbelt and parking in an entrance too.

He was trying to get into his car when the woman assaulted him...

Bill Hives linked a second one where there is a CCTV pointed from up an alleyway (the one I've zoomed in on above).
Therefore he was blocking an alleyway which is where they must unload.

Having watched that one as well now I still stand by my remarks - Both are idiots. The driver for the way he was driving and parking, then aggravating the situation by fronting up to the guy, and the couple who obviously didn't go the right way about dealing with the guy in the first place!

That's how I see it but do you think the woman deserved a fractured jaw?

Quick jab in response to being attacked. I don't see that the result is particularly relevant in this case (i.e she didn't die or life threatening injuries). Could easily have been an automatic reaction to someone having taken a swing at him. I doubt he was intending to break her jaw.

Excuse? I wasn't excusing his behaviour at all, it just didn't warrant the attack he got.

The fact that the two people who have come forwards aren't being prosecuted is wrong, regardless of whether they find the two males that left the scene.

I agree so I'll rephrase the question - do you think he should have punched her?
This is probably where we will disagree and Hurfdurf will say I hate women because I wouldn't hit her.

I am still a bit confused as to the extent of her injuries, did the punch or the impact with the ground break her jaw?
She punshed him away, back to his car, then lined up and missed a punch, he jabbed back, and spud, sack of potatoes down she goes.

Truth being, the couple at the start of the video were walking off down the street, chav pulls in to go to cashpoint, they walked back and sparked the entire incident, if they had kept walking in those first few seconds, there would have been no event to report.

Personally I wouldn't have hit her, (shush herp) but then I wouldn't have been in the situation at all in the first place.

It's evidently quite difficult to establish the full facts of the incident without statements from the other parties involved. It's not remotely surprising that the two males haven't contacted police to make a complaint or offer their side of the story though.

He was trying to get into his car when the woman assaulted him...

He was about to get into his car before changing his mind and getting involved in an altercation with the older man at the front of his car, too. He was more interested in being confrontational than just getting out of there.

Cobblers. They approached him hands waving, no doubt telling him he can't park there, and it looks like he said something along the lines of just being a moment to go to the cashpoint.
...he wasn't innocently picked on by them for no reason or chased down the street while attempting escape.
He was approached by 2 randoms in the street.
He seemingly makes no effort to defuse the situation or remove himself from it until after he hit the woman.
Cobblers again. When he returned from the CP he opens the car door to leave, but the old guy said or did something to annoy him. After the scuffle he is returning to the car and trying to get in and leave for a 2nd time when the old woman is pulling at him and eventually takes a swing.
I suppose you'll find some excuse for him not wearing a seatbelt and parking in an entrance too.
That's just petty.

The old couple escalated it twice. Admittedly he didn’t deescalate, but it appeared the old guy took it from verbal to physical.

Given the prejudice shown in this thread I'm not surprised either.
