so new anti-cheat tools/detection coming soon with certain things moving to server side from client side.

i get why they have to be vague so the hackers dont get a head start.

i guess we have to wait and see..

I've posted a bit about this before. I completely understand why they changed the conversion rates.

For the developers, this was the brief they were given.

Problem : Players are getting all their gear from crafting. Nobody is actually getting upgrades from the loot drops and instead are crafting everything. Everybody has the Vector from the BOO because its so easy to obtain.

Solution: Make crafting more expensive, end the tactic of players hoarding crafting materials during the level 1 - 30 grind and swapping low level vendor items over to a main character bought with a low level alt. To compensate for the increased cost of crafting, make it rain high ends with a 100% guaranteed chance of a high end when killing a named elite anywhere in the game.

All this did however was turn yellow into the new purple. The vast majority of those drops are GS163 and the risk / reward balance isn't working and its still just as profitable drop wise to farm DZ1/2 as it is DZ5/6. The phoenix credit increase was nice, but there was no such shift in loot drops. As nexus has said, all people farm the darkzone for now is materials to deconstruct everything they get and just go and craft everything as before, only now at much inflated cost (22 fabric for gear set items for example WTF ?)

To fix this, they need to do the following

1) Reduce the high end drop rate down. 100 % wasn't needed and was a knee jerk reaction to player criticism of loot. It hasn't worked

2) Make the high ends dropped by DZ5/DZ6 mobs be guaranteed to be GS182 with a large chance to drop GS204. This won't be overpowered if the 100 % high end chance is dropped. This will make it worthwhile farming them. Make each boss drop a mod and a gear/weapon item. These should normally be purple, but every now and then should be high end, and with the rest of the changes should mean when you do get a high end drop, its worthwhile.

3) get some consistency to the drops to remove RNG on top of RNG. The gear set items should come in a fixed set which when combined make for a great build centered around the set. You should still be able to re-roll these to customize as you wish. But the roll out of the box should fit with the gear set. + skill power makes sense a tactican peace, not on a strikers peace for example (i've had 5 or more gear set items with + skill power and the wrong firearm/stamina/electronics stat on them making them useless as you can only re-roll one stat)

4) Look again at the weapon talents. There are so many of these that are garbage. Either remove them altogether or massively buff them or just restrict them so that they only appear on weapons that can use them. For example: Any talent that has a +% chance to apply x effect on headshot is completely pointless on sniper rifles as no enemies (apart from the heavy named elites) can take that many headshots from an M1A / M44 in order to proc.

On the note of fixing things it would be nice to have a stash in the DZ entrances so we can clear our extracted trash, having to go out to free up space is a small annoyance.

The whole nomad gear set perks need looking at as no one I see uses it, geared for solo play then it needs bigger DPS stats and crit i think, the 1 revival every 10 minutes is pretty useless for both pvp and pve, your going to go down a lot in 10 minutes. compared to other 4 piece bonuses you can have instead it's not that appealing.

Still can't believe that they have not mentioned the DPS bug in BoO, seeing how it has been a round since the beginning. To me, it is one of the most annoying aspects of the game. It is ridiculous when comparing items in your stash, as it gives a lot of false readings and is time wasted. I always go outside the BoO, to check my actual stats or log in and out.

Summary from SOG

1.2 Client patch will include

-Reckless Fix,
-Aim Assist fix (PC),
-One is None bug they are aware of
-FL bug which is as intended but to have a better message than "no respawn zone" but the players in the instance who cannot join other games due to the infinite loop will be fixed.
-Balanced will be fixed, although I see nothing wrong with it tbh:(
-Backpack lockout users will be compensated sometime next week also. 500PXC, 10 HE of each materials inc DT. Nothing mentioned about DZ or normal credits. Lame compensation imo
-Some stupid thing about chat spamming will be looked into also.
-People don't know the facts on how Netcode works apparently.
-They cannot discuss cheating incase hackers find a way to circumvent their methods (which they will do anyway)

There maybe more but I can't rmember.

Radeon and celskis, I've got to tomorrow (Friday) off and will on for the DZ all day from morning until death by sleep deprivation :D you guys as well? I could do with some mats as well.

I gave up on the Caduceus since it only drops from random bosses outside of the DZ (which I all wacked I think) and there's no blueprint :(

There was this one post above here somewhere asking too the base Aug is worth buying. YES! Best purchase I've made in weeks weapon wise.

Got a first wave M1A drop last night on a daily! Only 163 gs sadly but does nice damage nonetheless. Will be taking it for a spin tonight. Chucked a VX1 12x scope on :) I'll get the blueprint and the one for the M44 custom ASAP.

Hoping to get some proper mods for my AK 47 as well because it's meh currently.
