in stock and sold by amazon

Hi. Been using amazon for years now and at Christmas even joined prime. When I order on amazon I don't like ordering from sellers so I make sure I always check its in stock and sold by amazon or fulfilled by amazon but I never bought from a seller them selfs as I don't like doing it.

Any way last 2 month I done exactly as I have done all these years be for I buy is to make sure who it bought from. Last twice it said in stock and sold by amazon. I bought a game for Xbox One and when it came back of the box was in Spanish. So as soon as I noticed this I went to my orders and checked and amazon changed it to a seller. The other day I bought a film and again it said in stock and sold by amazon. I got the film and looked at the back and this one was in French. I did the same checked and amazon changed it from in stock and sold by amazon to a seller.

Next time I order I am going to make a screen shot of the page and if it changed after I placed the order when received I will be taking it further as it not the thing I asked for.

Has any one else had this problem in last couple of month or be for?.

Don't accept this, return the product (assuming you've not used it) with a polite note as to why. Amazon have excellent customer service, I'm sure they'll be fine about it especially as they'll be able to see you're a long-standing customer without lots of frivolous returns.
 
Yeah, definitely return with an explanation, this hasn't happened to me, and the more you return stuff the less likely it is. :)
 
It should say when you are checking out that it is fulfilled by Amazon - it might show as Sold by xxxxxx instead of Amazon on the order details (but its still sold/fulfilled by Amazon) and/or if the stock at Amazon is out the page for the item might no longer show sold/fulfilled by Amazon.

I've noticed lately though a few things are shown as prime/sold by Amazon that are being shipped from Germany, etc.
 
if you're UK, chances are it's being souced by Amazon EU, so they'll hunt down the product from any country they can get it.
one issue i had like this was when i ordered a scanner, next day delivery - got the confirming mail and it said the expected delivery was a fornight off! fired off a mail, they said it was because the thing came from EU, so i replied saying why are you offering next day then if you know it's coming thousands of miles and you can't honour it? was pretty hacked like, i'd booked a day's hol to be in for it.

This, usually these items will say something along the lines of "Expedited for Prime Members" but not next day.

Mate next time get it delivered to work or a close by family member who is retired - save holidays for holidays.
 
Jump on web chat (not phone) and always take the option to leave feedback in the survey at the end, if they don't resolve 100% then leave fair but poor feedback on the was your issue resolved question. Then get back on web chat. The next assistant will be much more amenable if you have already left poor feedback as they are performance reviewed on these surveys and they can see the chat histories etc.
 
Never happened to me and I don't order through Amazon. And Prime isn't all that, but I don't pay so I can't complain!

However... Prime IS all that, it's bloody amazing. Order whatever I want or need and have it delivered in 2 hours or the next day + films, music and storage for £39. :D

I'm yet to have anything delivered from another place, unless it says it's expidited for prime users which I avoid as I assume they will be from Euro/somewhere else.
 
I ordered the last of us from amazon. When it arrived i realised it was the european edition. Whats the problem? Can still play it in English.

Yes I ordered Rise of the tomb raider for Xbox One and installed perfect and plays in English. But the box was in Spanish. I don't have a problem it just I didn't get what i bought and advertised in the end.

I did a review of the film and added at the end what had happened but amazon refused to put the review on even though I gave the film 5 stars as seen it be for but not seen it in years and I wanted to see it again.
