When are we likely to see a price drop? Not long after the announcement or is it looking likely to be after pascal hits?

Currently I've just got 980ti which I upgraded around Christmas from 2 970 sli, of which if there's sufficient price drops then I'd like to add another 980ti to the rig.

I know I should probably wait to see about the announcement before making a decision on whether to scrap the current card & second card plans and go for pascal or to just go for the second 980ti.

Artery with current sli/XF support id say SCRAP THE PLAN.. Its not looking any better in future either.

And price drops ?? There is no souch thing maybe few pounds for 1 week then they all be gone as it always is.

Yeah I was thinking as much, will wait to see what's announced.

anyway; carlton, notts, small world.

A good salesman would inform us it's not going to happen, that 'they won't drop -units are still flying off the shelves with inventory drying up'.

Then after Pascal releases, a whack will go on a special 'found at the back of a suppliers warehouse and someones getting fired deal':p

Maybe we should start a guess Maxwell clearance price thread, £319 for a Ti if you pre order before stock arrives, £260 for a 980, £190 for a 970...

it would be good if there was a price-drop on the current gen - but I guess that will only happen when we get a full-launch.. which could be awhile away?

Seanspeed must have missed them :D USualy its like.... Bam cards are gone from stores

I do remember found supplies of older gen cards same at ocuk at great prices of 780tis and stuff ect EOL products with good prices.

Artery Indeed small. If ya live about must have seen me running up and down carlton road hehe

Im on 6 months old 980TI and thinking about moving to 1080 if its good priced and can get a watercooled one. Only cause VR uses allot of horsepower :D

well ive been struggling on 4k for awhile now; thinking either to sli soon (hopefully the 980ti will be cheaper) or move to a 1080 - although of what I read, it doesnt sound like one 1080 is going to match two 980ti's. I guess not long to wait now any-way.
