Sounds like a standard contract for many industries. What sort of job do you do?
Yep, and having a 3 or 4 day break can mean a proper getaway to the coast or something. Big thing for a family.
Generally this is the case but I suspect there are some couples who work alternating weekends and such, who might benefit from that.
Saying that, the type of work that involves working weekends probably involve working bank holidays too.
Everyone doesn't get them off. Also, a huge amount of intangible value is a contradiction in terms...

I work in retail and work nearly every bank holiday 10am to 4pm![]()
I also work 3 Saturdays in a row. which gets me Tuesday and Sunday off
Lucky me eh![]()

Home PC tech support via phone and remote sessions.
Yeah, i think it is the standard for IT support to be available on bank holidays and i would imagine being flexible to work hours comes with the territory of both being able to work remotely and having to be available to customers who require support at times which can be outside a normal work schedule. I have been looking into new EPOS and data systems for the company i work for and they all offer bank holiday support as well as almost 24 hour support. It is pretty important as if one of the shop tills go down on a bank holiday, it would cost a lot of business as well as make the cost of the staff working there go to waste.

Most people get them off. Value to doesn't need to be tangible, there is no contradiction.
Is everyone missing the fact that this piece is a clickbait advert for a HR automation/outsourcing company?

I didn't miss it, I didn't even look at it as that was how it was described in the OP. I took it that this was just a reason to start a discussion rather than us actually discussing the content of the link![]()

That is clearly written by someone who doesn't understand people or how they work. People need time off an having days where everyone gets it off at the same time has a huge amount of intangible value to society.
