Hi Everyone

I am new to this forum and was wondering if you could help.

I am currently in the market for a gaming PC with a budget of about £750 and was wondering if you guys could help..

Also i have read some reviews that in Budget/mid range gaming pcs that AMD can keep up with some of Intels chips is this true and would it make for a cheaper alternative to Intel?

My budget could possibly stretch to 770-800

I am also posting on other forums gathering quotes from those

Cheers

AMD is indeed marginally cheaper than Intel builds, I couldn't comment on whether they can keep up with Intel chips though.

Are you looking to build yourself? Or for something off the shelf?

I'd recommend looking at the bundles on OC's website (of course) and looking at Cyberpower. You'll get a good indication of what your money will buy you there.

Even if you can't afford the best CPU and GPU at the moment, I'd spend a bit more on the Mobo, as you'll want one that's going to be future proofed for 2-3 years.

I am looking for a pre made build or to customise one on a site like this.. I dont want to build it myself as it has been years since i built a PC.

Yes i have been checking out bundles and most would be good except for the money i have most of the PCs i see only have a 2gb Graphics card, i would prefer a 4gb..
I received a quote off a different customising site which met my spec but for slightly more money i was just gathering quotes off other sites before i make a decision

cheers for the reply

I don't know if you need Windows including, or how much storage you need right from the off.

For build quote you'd have to call OcUK or post in Customer Services forum.

New video cards in June and those'll drive prices on current ones down if you can wait a bit.

Hi thanks for the quote :)

Yeah i would need an OS and was looking for about a TB of storage

Also i forgot to do this on other forums too and place the games i might want to play, i would be looking at playing Ark Survival of the fittest and games like total war (not warhammer i dont think bout would be interested to know if this spec can run that) and Wow and other similar games..

Am i allowed to take screenshots off other sites to show you as a comparison i forgot if it says i cant with in the rules of the forum..

Finally after some consideration i might be able to go a bit past 800 if it was worth it for gaming and for the longevity of the machine

Cheers

You're welcome for the spec.

Add a 1TB HDD then, but I'd make sure whichever build you get also has an SSD (the 250GB's are better value for money and can fit some of your fave games etc along with the OS and programs).

It can run all of those, and more. Although you will get more performance the better the video card you get, obviously. Ideally, you'd wait until the GTX 1070 is released, and then build a spec around it, an i5 CPU, and an SSD.

Youtube should have plenty of vids showing how much fps a video card you're thinking of getting is churning out, at a certain resolution, in games you're interested in. Try some searches there.

No. What you could do is list the names of the components, link to the manufacturer pages if you want. But don't mention competitors or link to them.

Ah ok i will also look into putting an ssd in any spec that i chose :)

Ok since i am looking to play games i want to get the best system i can for the money, and one that has some longevity :) And i will keep and eye out for the GTX 1070.. I hope that its not too expensive and if it is that other parts have fallen in price..

Yeah i figured i wouldnt be able to post off other competitors sites just thought i would make sure, i will deffo try list the names when i have them and also look at the manufacturers page..

As i am gonna wait till June when the new chips/cards come out, will i be able to add to this threat at a later date :)

cheers again
