I actually feel upset and sick :(

Oh absolutely, make no mistake I understand the way this works, but all my posts are referring to the OP, who may well have been better off waiting. Some people struggle to grasp this however.

To be honest I'm still using my trusty 290 which still serves me fine for the very little time I get to play games, but this is actually a release which I'm excited about for once.

Yes he may well have been best served waiting. But then, waiting wouldn't have allowed him to have been gaming this past month or so and for the next month prior to the release of the new cards. And the release of the new cards isn't going to suddenly make his hardware obsolete. He will still be able to game at max or near max settings - it may just be that his framerate will be 20-30% behind the level of the 1080.

You say you are "loaded"

Has he actually said this? Wouldn't surprise me, but when someone buys a new monitor and bangs on about it at every opportunity possible and then sticks in in an Ikea desk, I'd say "loaded" is probably a bit of a stretch. "Comfortable" yes, but loaded? Heh.

Indeed. If you own an X34/PG348Q and have it sitting on anything less than the finest Italian marble or a custom machined slab of pure platinum, you're simply missing the point! ;)

Using work to get out of an argument is lame in my book...

;)

The fredde desk is the nuts I bought two and have an x34 on one and two brand new dell 2715u in my studio on the other. :D

That's cool, nobody gives a toss about your book.

Thanks for the heads up on the desks. I can't see myself ever using them as I have marble at home and my yacht has self levelling units.

So many threads lately about "buy 980 ti or wait" and so many said buy.. and only a few of us said wait due to node shrink, new architecture and possible new mem tech as well. I feel sorry for those who followed the "BUY NOW" advice. Heck i sorta regret getting the 980ti mainly due to the multitude of issues the first 6 months and the last 6 i havent had the time i use to have due to becoming a father but atleast i got a year out of my purchase.. sorta :P.

Aren't you meant to be at work ?

Oh wait that was to get out of being owned about the new 1080 perform claims you had :p

I don't have a desk. My XR34 is sat on a pile of X34s. In my mansion. Built on a cruiseliner. With 150 acres of forest. On a cruiseline. And 4 elephants. On the back of a giant turtle.

Long story short I built my very first gaming PC a few weeks ago, I bought a lovely 980 TI GPU. However, I just heard a new GPU has just come out which is x2 better than the 980 Ti which I just purchased.

Should I of waited? I feel bad now, I got this GPU but now a new GPU has just been released which is practically 980 Ti in a SLI in a single card.

Game development has been dominated by the consoles for the last 10 years now. It will continue to be so for at least the next five.

Your 980Ti is more powerful than anything the PS4 (and upcoming PS4.5) has, and that's the leading console at the moment.

Simply sit back and enjoy.

Or..

Take a huge hit, and get a 1080. Then do the same for 1080Ti. Then do the same for "full fat Pascal". Then repeat the process for the whole Volta range of cards. That should leave you "upset and sick" for the next 4-5 years, if that's your thing...

I am at work. Your argument about the 1080 was just stupid, you were wrong, knew you were wrong, and refused to admit it. If you're not man enough to admit you were wrong then you're not really worth my time, and you're not convincing anyone otherwise.

"Being owned" - what are you, 12? Way to go to destroy any credibility you may have had.

Oh sweet, send me your address and I'll pop in on my Swarovski A380. I take it your runway can handle fatter birds?

Is that all....all of that is on my own universe I bought with dark matter Bitcoin I pull out of thin air and can manipulate time and space with...

Poor you :p

You even said "I'll give you that one "

Are you suffering from temporary amnesia ?:p

Different thread completely. Why am I discussing this with you anyway? Weather's amazing out, I should be lighting the BBQ, not arguing with you. I honestly amaze myself sometimes.
