ATM we only seem to have the Dell (TN), Acer (IPS,TN) and Asus (TN,IPS), I want to get either the XB271HU or PG279Q but with quality control issues with the panels haven't pulled the trigger and waited, however with Polaris and Pascal will we see more manufactures come into the fold? One last thing will LG be trying to rival AUO in this market area?

Yes, inevitably we will see more monitors, but we'll be waiting a while given nothing is even officially announced yet, and the lead time from that point seems to be 6 months or so, which means we're looking at end of the year at the earliest, most likely 2017, especially for anything gaming oriented (Freesync/G-Sync)

I expect them to start coming out late summer, after the new midrange gpu's have launched, as demand for these types of monitors will increase.

I'll be getting my monitor based on the latest graphics card I acquire (G-Sync/Freesync) so not to bad, I'm just hoping to see more competition in this area which will hopefully give us better QC.
