I was actually wondering why I keep it in the front left as I was posting, being right handed it does seem odd. I guess because my wallet and keys always went in my right pocket before I had a phone.

I'm right handed but use my left pocket and hold it in my left hand for optimal poking with my right hand fingers.

Absolutely, out with the left and prodding with the right however my keys go in the right so I don't want my phone in there also.
Some people have these little tiny phones you can use with one hand though.

Front left, always. Keys and wallet in front right, though I'm thinking of getting a lanyard or something because sometimes it's a bit of a struggle. Rear pockets for receipts or tissues.
