GTX 1080 Pre-Orders

A GTX1070 for around £350 which is apparently a Titan X killer, that is great news - £5-600 quid for a card too hot for most people, £350 that's where the smart money will go

ok when the 980 1st got released how long was it till the 980ti got released?

so when the 1080 gets released end of May 2016 how long will it take for the 1080ti? is it one year or more?

Haha i am over don't care someone was moaning and then saying he getting a 1070 which is crazy.

And why wouldn't I? And what's so crazy about it? The 970 has performed exceptionally well for me and still does. If you consider a lighthearted remark about Nvidia's ****-up "moaning" then I don't even... Some of you people are a touchy bunch, really.

As if making sure the specification is in line with what's advertised before jumping the gun was something bad.

It was 8.5 months between them.

18/09/2014 to 2/06/2015

Also notably the Titan X was 17/03/2015, so only 6 months from 980 to TX.

Hmmmmm I have 41 days remaining to "step up" with EVGA, what are chances they put a 1080 on the program in that time? I have the 980ti right now so if there's a performance boost for a modest price difference, why wouldn't I?

Only just got a 980TI. How much faster is the 1080 expected to be?

Probably 20% but won't know for sure until reviews come out.

If you can, return your 980Ti immediately. You will be able to get a 1080 with that money, or pocket the change and go for a 1070 which will likely perform same or close to an 980Ti, but will have 2gb extra vram, run cooler and quieter using less electricity and get better support via drivers going forward.

A no brainier if you able to return it.
