Hi Guys, I bought my house a few years ago and always hated the kitchen, I have done every other job in the house now and always put this one off due to how big of a project it was.

I started 8th April and Finished today 8th May.

Done the majority of the fitting work myself. A company did the layout for me, I paid for a plasterer, Joiner for work tops, and someone to fit the floor. I am an Electrician by trade but pretty much a jack of all trades now.

Total Cost inducing every last screw and part £4715. There is just 1 door to swap on the boiler cupboard as I am not happy about the oven filler panel used up top, other then that its complete

Size is around 5 meters long by 3.5 meters wide, But only has 1 small window, then French doors into conservatory, so light colours were essential to me

I think I uploaded the pictures wrongly with the wrong aspect ratio, but you'll get the general idea

Here Goes it..

Lessons learnt.... LED strip lights do not go underneath integrated dishwashers.. Not measuring twice and cutting once will cost you dearly :p

Future Plans... Swap the strip lights for the individual ones (then no black spot under dishwasher)... Buy a nice table and chairs for the conservatory, then make a breakfast bar in the corner

Question for experts:
Should I run a small bead of silicon at the bottom of the plinths to stop liquids ever going under? I PVA'd every cut I made on chip wood

Looks good, do yourself a favour though and move your kettle so the steam doesn't go under your cupboard and blow the doors.

Thanks for that tip

I like it, nice work.

What's the thickness of your worktops and where did you buy them from?

They are 40mm and the kitchen is 18mm with 8mm backs. From Leeds kitchen warehouse, google them in morley

Couple of questions.

Model name and colour (I think white but not 100%) of units?
Handle name?
Who did the units come from?

They match pretty much what I am after for my kitchen.

How comes you didn't integrate the washing machine, only thing I would change I think.

Very nice, what type if floor is that? Vinyl?

Yeh its wood grain effect with anti slip, liking it so far

Nice project. Looks stunning

Thanks

Hi it's an Ivory Portland Shaker kitchen, it's pretty common so most kitchen shops should be able to match everything up for you. I got it from Leeds Kitchen Warehouse in Morley, Leeds

Integrated Washing machines - I don't like them to be honest, I don't like opening 2 doors every time and not been able to see the display ect. Plus I plan on buying a new silent Lg/samsung inverter washer soon

Yeah the LG Washer Dryer we bought fits under a standard counter no problem, the Samsung we were also considering was a bit bigger though and would likely have stuck out a bit.

Nice kitchen OP.

Thanks, Ah yeh I remember now the Samsungs are very tight something like 595mm deep

Also I have been referring to them as inverter washers when they are called direct drive

They do use inverters but as you say, the primary branding is Direct Drive. Panasonic tend to use Inverter in their marketing.

I thought all washing machines used inverters for speed control and direction

Most older machines and the cheaper end of the market just use universal brushed motors with a simple PWM control. Its only the higher spec machines that use a poly phase motor driven from an inverter.

I expect that all direct drive machines are inverter driven, but the reverse is possibly not true... not all inverter drive machines will be direct drive
