Courier service

Who is reliable to return a £760 laptop that can insure up to that much?

Do they pick up?

Surely if its for RMA - ask the company who makes the laptop, who they recommend, or better still ask them to book a courier for you (they are liable for your goods then)

Are you returning it through a fault or because it's just an unwanted item?

If it's fault wise, ask them to collect it and arrange it.

Its for a refund, they said they wont cover postage because of their terms

7.10 Under no circumstances can the "seller" collect parts or whole products for refunds.

Im just worried if it goes 'missing'

Way to completely miss his question :p

Why is it being refunded, because of a fault or because it's unwanted?

I'm not sure if fan coming on when doing light usage or left idle comes under a fault? That's part of the reason.

I think what mattyprice was getting at was that if it's being returned as unwanted, then getting it to them is your responsibility, and at your cost. But if it's being returned as faulty, then consumer law puts the onus on the shop to either collect, or reimburse you for the cost of sending it, and consumer law trumps what their T&Cs say every single time. But that can lead to arguments over what "faulty" means.
