How much do you drink?

If I'm away on holiday then I may have a couple of beers per day (with lunch and dinner)

(f I am out for a meal then I may have one drink. A night out with friends .... I may have ~3 pints. Both of these together may add up to a couple of dozen pints per year.

Just at home .... I may buy a couple of multi-packs a year but whether I drink them all before they go out of date varies. On an average week I will likely drink no alcohol.

Pretty shocked how many people don't drink or drink very little. Compared to those around me I hardly drink anything, but you guys make me look like a big drinker!

Usually 2-3 pints and 2-3 shorts on a Friday or Saturday night out and then half a bottle of wine with a meal on a Sunday. The only time I drink midweek is if I'm out for a meal and I will have a glass of wine or beer.

I Generally don't drink at all. Including holidays, I probably can count on two hands the number of drinks I have in a year. It's mostly because I don;t like the feeling of being drunk anymore, or the hangover that follows it.

I do drink lots of tea thought! :P

Shock as computer forum populated mainly by tech nerds doesn't have many drinkers!

I foolishly did an overclock while drunk once and awoke to find my machine touching low 80s!

Never again, alcohol is damaging.

Maybe a drink a month at most on average. Be it wine or beer. Sometimes a little more for celebrations (weddings, birthdays etc...). But really quite happy not drinking. :)

Almost nothing these days, hangovers floor me now and I've got better things to do than hide on the sofa all weekend :D

This. I drink rarely, although during the summer or holidays I drink more. But I suppose that comes with living on a Mediterranean island and waking up to 30+ everyday :)

I have hugely cut down my drinking, to the point I used to drink every single weekend. Where now I can go without even remembering when I last had a drink.

A quiet single malt once or twice a week after everyone has gone to bed. Sometimes a beer or two on a Friday or Saturday night if I'm staying in.

Between 0 and 4 stubby lagers (250ml) at home each week, though almost never more than one per night, and then 5 or 6 pints of ale at the pub approx once per month.

Aside from that, I might have a pint of ale if out for a pub meal at the weekend, though usually just opt for water.

Mrs Cheesyboy is almost teetotal. Most of our friends seem to drink a lot more - a few bottles of wine each week seem to get sunk in most households.

I drink around about a bottle of ale/beer every couple of nights.
Thursdays I drink a beer for a weekly subscription thing, (beerbods).

Other than that, whatever I've got it stock. It's mostly craft/specialist beer though, so not the sort of stuff you can just neck.

Hardly anything at all nowadays. I may pop out for the occasional pint or if I'm at a friends house I might have one or two if they offer but I only seem to drink on occasions lately.

Last time I was sloshed was the work Christmas party!

The thought of being hungover puts me off as I feel rotten for a whole day or two, sign of getting old I think and I'm only 30! :D

Erm, it isn't "recommended" is it? It's the level you should stay at or under to not increase to medium/high risk. The way you say it makes it sound like drinking 6 pints a week is better than drinking nothing...

sorry, some derp'y typing while nodding off.

although i have read that a small amount of alcohol occasionally actually helps the liver by helping it flush out toxins. or something.

but 3 pints and wine a night i would say makes the OP have a higher risk of cancer and liver disease.

Honestly, I drink too much (but it's changing)

Most weeks I would drink beer on at least 4 out of 7 nights, but most of the time it is more like 5 or 6 out of every 7 nights. I would drink 4 cans of beer, and sometimes if I run out I'd go out and get more and drink another one or two.

However, as I'm currently applying for a job where I need to be under a certain weight and have a certain level of fitness to get in I have been on a recent health kick. With the exception of a stag do this past weekend I haven't had a beer since 27th April, so only 3 days out of the last 11 - and only because of the stag do.

I've proved that I don't need it so often and I feel better for it, and even after my medical for this job next Thursday I'm going to kick the booze (or massively reduce it) during the working week.

I've changed my diet too but I think beer is the main reason that I've lost 5lbs in 3 or 4 days.
