Bought myself a bargain barge

And as a result it won't sell. It's like that comedy 530i Sport that keeps popping up on Autotrader for ever increasing money, it's about £26k last time I checked. Hilarious.

Why would anyone think that that E38 was worth £11k? Sure, it may have a great history and be in fab condition but we're talking about a car that's 3 generations old that isn't even the perfect spec with that engine (base model Sport). I could maybe understand a 750iL going for that money with that history and mileage but not a crappy 728i.

Dreamers! There's a 100,000km 2010 550i GT for sale near me for €50,000!
You can get 2015s with half the miles for that price. Some people are just mad.

I fail to understand why people are bothered about the looks.

Neil wanted a V8 barge, that is reliable, mega comfy and wafty for a few grand, he has achieved his goals. This kind of car is all about comfort and waftness, he has not purchased it to seek attention from other motorist his only concern is his own comfort and not getting any surprising bills whilst being able to enjoy that V8 motor.

What it looks like is pretty irrelevent and I am sure that is Neil's basis on purchase, I very much doubt he stumbled across it and thought thats a looker. ;)

Haha, I saw the colour in person and just lol'ed and thought this is perfect :p

Anyway, to anyone thinking I'm going nuts buying the barge compared to my previous cars. I'll be picking this up on Saturday

Let's see how the haters handle this news lol :)

How much is your LS430 insurance Neil?

Sticks out to stop it crapping up the bumper I guess.
It's £600 and something IIRC, pricey as I couldn't use the ncb from the BMW as I bought this shortly before the BMW sold.

Yep it's to stop it sooting up the back end, I'll be cutting it down though as it's a bit too much for me :p

Not enough aero on that Elise.
lol! This one will pull the pants down of his piece of **** for fun.

Having fun with a GT3RS on slicks apparently.

^ just to note as that insurance is expensive due to your NCB situation. You may be able to save yourself a reasonable amount if you look into cancelling that and switching to a company who will mirror your other set. Both aviva and admiral will definitely do this for example :)

Here for the K20 Elise. Do want! Didn't you have an S2 with a K20 at some point, and an Exige CR?
