15 Audi S4 keyed

Some people are just so green with envy they can't stand to see other people with new cars.

I personally couldn't afford a 15 plate audi but I would never consider doing this to someones car :(

I once had a customer on the phone who told me he had all the time in the world to wait for the repair of his mobile phone because someone had kindly put a brick through his Bentley windshield whilst it was parked in a multi story car park and one was being shipped from Germany and till then he was stuck in a hotel in Bristol anyway.

Attacking someones whom you have a grievance with's car is the up most display of cowardice but doing it out of jealously is frankly even worse.

I assume it happens elsewhere but it's sadly common for a variety of reasons

from boredom to envy

Car was paid in cash - no lease or finance etc.

Also - fast lane is bodywork by Audi lookers - thats who they use.

The point is not about have or have not 1500 to chuck at it - is to either go or not go through insurance?

If the right thing is to pay 1500 to fix it -then thats fine but obviously i do wonder why we pay insurance? Obviously if going through insurance is better - than i will do that.

Sry, not had my cars keyed before - so not sure which route to go.

Fair enough.

Go get some insurance quotes with your claim on, then you will know how much extra the premium could be. Then times roughly by 5 years and you can compare.

Unlucky, not a nice things at all. Cowards.

You mentioned it was parked in a residential area, I reckon you parked in a "self claimed" parking spot that "belongs" to one of the scum that live there. Some people think they own the bit of street opposite to their house.

Whenever I park outside my neighbours house they stare at me out of the windows, or stand by the front door like they are going to open it and say something, and occasionally they come out of the front door and give me the finger... I don't come and go late at night, and there is enough room for them to park their one and only car outside as well as mine. Bloody mentalists!

And I parked outside someone's house when I went to work the other week because I forgot the code for the car park, and they deliberately blocked me in...

Luckily I have a garage, but the other day I had to go Luton. Parked outside some house in a permit free street without any restrictions etc. I come back and get greeted by some knuckle head. "y u parkd here m8 itz wer i park me van ur cauzin an obstruction"

After attempting to educate him what a public road is, he calls me a little boy so I told him where to go

Won't park there again mind you, cowards like him will probably do what they did to OP

I'm sure Luton is just some sort of undercover social experiment to see how many morons they can shove in an Urban area before any resemblance of civilisation crumbles.

This is also very possible. Some people are beyond rational thought when it comes to parking outside their houses. Our neighbours opposite are a prime example.

Sadly it's been my experience of pretty much the entire country!

Can you not just park outside your own house?

Sounds like it would solve the issue to me :p

Neighbours live opposite and they always park their car on their side first so I can't park on my side without blocking the road, so I park in front of them, also outside their house.

They have a garage which they don't use.

Hey now, there's nothing wrong with Luton! Although it does depend where you go I guess....OK maybe there's some things wrong, but it's not all bad!

Honest! :D

This, pretty much!

You get ***** everywhere. I wonder what goes through the head of someone who keys a car....it did happen to my brothers worthless old vectra. The first thing we thought of was....why?!

Got quote back - 2,300gbp ... will try to negotiate down a litte.

As for insurance - did a check now compared to a quote now without and with - diff is 700 gbp. Do insurance whack you for that much for 5 years?

literally entire one side of the car needs respraying...

Drive it to Sheffield.

On my DB9 my guy did the front bumper, 2 wings, 2 doors and 2 rear quarters for £500. Other than having to detail after it goes near him I can't knock it.

Shouldn't you not have 2 cars then? Probably why they're ****ed?

(not that I agree with their attitude!)
