Massdrop x AKG K7XX Red Edition (Drop now back)

Most people don't rate them above say getting sennheiser hd600/650/ fidelio X2, I think they are a bit of a letdown for some folk from what I have read around at least.
There's just better options at the same sort of price.Someone had an as new pair listed for ages in the mm and they didn't sell at £140 so...

Yeah that was me, they're not bad, I prefer the Fidelio X2 though over them and the K712. However, I find the AKG so much more comfortable that I stuck with them. O and after the shipping + customs you could probably get something better anyway but they are very good I think.

Really good headphones. Some of the best all rounders you can find under that 1k bracket for open headphones. Warmer than the Q701, tamer in the upper mids due to the rise in bass.

AKG K7XX Massdrop edition

The biggest confusion so far is these. People are asking are these the K712 or the Annie? I'm going to say right now, they are the Annie, which is the Q701. For those who want it clearer

LOL completely forgot about that post. Can't believe those money grabbers banned over something so stupid. A few people try to get me to write reviews over there but what's the point honestly isn't allowed on headfi :mad:
 
Weighing up these to replace my HD590's which are showing age.

I can either buy these, or refurb my 590's... I've tried the big brands and nothing sounds as good as the Sennheisers. A refurb would be about 1/4 of the cost of the AKG's...

Is there much sound leakage on these? Running open backs at the moment but wouldn't want anything which transmits outwards more than my 590's do...

Head-fi is a hobbyists safe space where you're only allowed to praise the purchases incase you offend someones wallet. (or sponsor)
 
Haha I reviewed a pair of M100 headphones praising what they did well but I also said what they didn't do well and then the storm came....

They were also the forums sponsor at the time and the FOTM .
