Radeon AIB Partners "Frustrated" at AMD

AMD were showing off working Polaris cards 6 months ago.

Is it that AMD don't have any cards to give them, or are they just being insanely difficult and secretive, even at the expense of their own partners?

I hope it is the latter but a small chance of some horrible yields issues at GlobalFoundaries or the engineering chips had problems requiring respins.

Or it is simply the case that AMD were working toward back to school release which could be an end of June/early July release and still be on schedule.

I don't believe rumours, which is why I ended my posts with:

And is also why I didn't take the rumour that AMD AIB partners would have boards at computex as a fact either.

But you posted multiple times the rumour that AMD AIBs wont have cards to show. And the way you presented it countering some one else's post with a rumour "Not according to this rumour". Come off it D.P if you don't believe rumours you wouldn't take any notice in them but your posting them as if they have credibility.

But then again who knows.

I suspect that there are AIB partners that are frustrated with NVidia but that does not make much of a story.

In business companies are always frustrated with their partners for one reason or another, it is a fact of life.

It does not matter how hard AMD or NVidia try, they will never keep everyone happy.

My fear here is that AMD still view the Fury-X as an enthusiast product when the rest of the world doesn't.

Its really not worth more than £250 at this stage and if AMD think there going to sell a lot of power efficient 390 performance equivalents for £250 while continuing to sell Fury-X's for £350 there in for a nasty shock.

fury is out of stock almost everywhere, i think they stoped production or atleast FuryX/Fury Variant of it, i think a Nano have a place in the market at 300-£350 for the remaining stock small form factor niche.

To be fair, When has AMD actually lived up to expectations? Bulldozzer, Furyx are good examples. I would be first to jump ship. wish they would wake up and realise it's not just about pricing..................................................

You really are ridiculous.

I posted it once with a big caveat
Vague rumour
and then pointed it out to someone else who didn't see the post on the previous page. Of course it is countering, this entire thread is about AMD AIB's partners not being happy.

Not believing in rumours is not the same as not giving them credibility. This entire forum would be completely dead is people weren't allowed to post rumours, what are you, the anti-rumour police?

Now stop spamming this thread .

plenty of times before they almost went belly up in 2011 ? it's easy to blame but considering what the company was going through, they managed pretty ok, cash is key to have a better polished product, deniying that AMD have the expertise wouldn't be fair, they do have a lot of it, just not enough money to do whatever they want or as good as they want with ideas they have.
and it's not like consumers are giving them any break or support.

this AIB thing makes me think about Nvidia's founder edition, because if the article is true, then the issue is the margins AIB get on polaris, not high end offerings.
because even if Nvidia provide AIB with small margins at the MSRP, they give them a leeway for price adjustement 100$ higher, my guess most AIBs selling 1080/1070 would be closer to the founder price than the MSRP.

Vague rumour but might substantiate the news of angry AMD exclusive AIBs.

Not according to the latest rumoursl

Who knows.

To me reading the way your presenting this rumour suggest you take more credibility in this rumour rather than AIBs actually having polaris cards to show. To me it seems quite idiotic to say you don't believe in rumours but then give the more negative AMD rumour more credibility. My point is this is coming from some one who has stated many of times that only posts facts and points out things which are nonsense. I was just pointing out originally this surprised me coming from you.

Not anti rumour police no i just dont like how easy people are taken in with clear click bait.

edit- anyways ill end this here and "Stop spamming" lets see if you do the same? FYI no need for insults. RTM will be coming otherwise.

Remember that NVIDIA's AIB's sell x100 the amount of cards that AMD's AIB sell though.

Where have I said that I didn't believe the rumour that AMD's AIB partners would have cards at Cpmputex?
You can't, because I never said. Both rumour have equal credibility IMO, i have absolutely no idea what will or wont get shown at Computex and have not once claimed otherwise .

Insult, you are the one that is trying to troll me. Any more trolling from you and I will have to report you to the moderators. Consider this your last warning from me.
