The TV manufacturers raved about 3D a few years back. It's a feature that has been mostly dropped on the latest models.
I wonder if VR will share the same fate.

No one wants VR, yet the supply is not enough to fill the demand. Damn they really need to make more than 1 a day.

Fair comment. I am still waiting for my Rift that was coming to me on March 28th![]()
.My mate cancelled his rift order after they couldn't deliver his until the 20th of May at the earliest. Ordered a Vive on the 12th of April and received it a week ago. Some people are getting there rift as late as July which is BS for a pre-order done minutes after they went live. No messing about with him, used his wallet to show what he thought of them. Told them he was off to Vive in a not so complimentary email.
VR is futore of gaming and entertaiment and only person that have not tried it would say its not.
So far me and 3 of my mates GOT VR HELMETS and we all agree that it was worth every penny!!!! And we will be buying 1080 gpus most likely jumping from 970/980s !!!
VR will pic up ****ing fast once people get to try it.....
And as mentioned VR is not just gaming.. 360 photos and videos movies. Learning ect... SO MANY USES
And ye no one wants VR they are dusted on shelfs.... O WAIT takes months to get a headset now cause they cant produce them fast enough.....
I think you are both right and wrong. I've tried it, and yes its amazing. So immersive. And this will only increase as FOV gets bigger and screens become higher resolutions. I certainly WANT to game on in VR.
However, there will be many many many times when that just is not possible. Gaming on a monitor is FAR less anti-social. I can still talk to my wife while gaming on a monitor while she watches TV. No way can i sit with a VR headset on for hours at a time. Not knowing what my kid is doing or if the dog needs to go out.
I don't think for a second that VR will replace traditional gaming. Ever. but yes it will get taking up more.

. The camera doesn't have great resolution and has 2 modes. One lets you see your room from first person just like looking out of your eyes and mixes in with the game, the other mode gives you a small screen on top off your game. The first one is my favorite as you can pick up and drink beer easy enough.4k OLED / Superwide, that's what the discerning gaming "enthusiast" with money wants.
Seems like it's a year away, then it's yet another, then another.
