New build help SLI 2x 970 GTX

Guys I'm about to put a new build together , going back to PC gaming after a 7 year break .

So since I've been out of the loop so to speak GPU's have come a long way . I'm looking at getting back to some BAttlefield and it seems an SLI rigg makes the most of this .

I can buy 2x 970 GTX for £400 I'm looking to play on a 24 inch monitor and maybe even in 4K .

Is there anything else out there that's worth considering ?

I Guess you dont know that the new GTX 1070 is out in june and that also the GTX 1080 is out on the 27th may so i would personally hold off buying the 970

No. It's the successor to the GTX 980. But the same type of Nvidia cooler is also used on Titans, which might be why you associate it with those?

Not yet. From what Nvidia have said, this should result in options between £325-400. And 1070 should be about twice as fast a 970, and with 8GB memory not 3.5/4 GB.

Take with pinch of salt as it's guesswork. But definitely wait.
