Each to their own, I don't like the speed triples with the lights from Ursus C330

:p

Its just, every time I see a triumph with those dual rounded headlights it reminds this tractor. :p

R6 position is too aggressive, GSX-R is the king. :D

@tom_e, how do you find the V-Twin whilst filtering through traffic?

Absolutely fine you get used to the engine. I can happily roll it along at under 10mph without using any back brake to steady it.

You'll probably find it even easier as the S is easier to control once you pick up speed and can tuck in.

GSXR K8 is nice and spacious, good for someone 6ft1 :)

TallPaul_S, which armour did you select whilst buying the kevlar jeans? D3O™ T5 EVO XT or D3O™ T5 EVO XT PRO? I'm not sure if the PRO won't be too bulky for commuting and just normal road riding.

I've had both the pro is a fair bit bulkier but it doesn't effect comfort or riding. You don't even notice it's there to be honest because it goes soft and moulds to you.

I'll happily come home from work and sit around for the rest of the evening in my Hoods they're that comfy.

I've got the D30 from my old Hoods in my RST jeans now much nicer than the standard stuff.

Pro. No reason not to unless you want to save the cash.
I have tested it with a hammer on my knee and you feel nothing :D

When spending over £150 that £12 isn't really making a massive difference, is it? :p BTW I've learned my lesson, saving can sometimes cost you more money in the future... so technically its not really a saving. :p

I'm not sure what waist to order, I can no longer fit into my 32 waist jeans. :p I need 34, I need to sort out my diet... slowly getting fat. :p

Their place is 70 miles away from me, I'm thinking whenever I should wait and try to get an appointment. It would save me the hassle of sending the jeans back and waiting for another pair. I could potentially get them the same day! :D

Edit: One last quick question, what was that thing you used to get that bloody oil cooler cover screw off? I really don't want to take the header off to get to it... The bolts that hold the front mudguard won't give up either. I don't have the patience for this type of jobs, how can people enjoy being mechanics? :p

You probably won't get them same day, both pairs I've ordered have had a couple of week lead time as they make them all on site rather than in a massive factory.

I've not gotten it off yet :( it's been put off indefinitely unless I have another reason to be taking the headers off and get a proper crack at it

I didn't order any as I aleady have lots of D3O armor from my Furygan kit - however it's all the level 1 stuff (non pro). No reason not to go for the Pro stuff though really. Tested the non pro stuff in a real life slide and my knees were 100% untouched :D

if you're wearing it all day at work they might be a little bulky but shouldn't be too bad.

I cleaned the rust in most spots, I've started with the lower bits now and that cover is ******* me off... is yours rusty too?
I wonder if I can get away with putting the fender extender on the SV without taking the mudguard, I broke one allen key whilst trying to undo it. I didn't mess up the thread, so that's good. :p

How long did you wait for your hoods?

I want armour, but if something thinner does the job I don't want to have bulky armour which will probably get on my nerves. :p

Honestly can't remember, I did have to send them back as they were too big, and i got the replacements very very quickly. I'll check my emails...

Edit: ordered on 14th July 9pm, shipped 27th and received 29th. All depends if they have stock, if not you have to wait for the next batch to be made.

Bikestop have sent out the strap kit today so will have it Monday. Great service.

Also got a camelbak rogue for my birthday, the tascam DR05 fits perfectly in the lower pocket, I may not even need any foam around it. 2l of water on my back will be really nice in the hot summer when touring, can also chuck some ice cubes in as the hole to fill it is huge.

I'll ride there, I've no other destination. Well... that's if I pass, it might be hard if I get the guy that my instructor was talking about. I've training with the same guy as my Mod1, now he's going first, I'm after him. Hopefully we'll both pass like the last time! :D

some heat maybe would loosen it,from a heatgun or blowtorch if you can borrow one,it will expand and crack the rust, you should be able to undo it then

that and plenty of plusgas
