People buy new bikes for less than that! :D nothing wrong with wanting a change :)

I would have kept the SV but its been nothing but trouble since I got it. Every day it was working, I dreaded just going to start the bike in case it didn't.

It's probably going to be problem free now but it's not something I want to risk/deal with again.

@tom_e, How's the SV after TPS adjustment than? :D Easier to control the bike during slow maneuvers?

Didn't do a great deal of slow stuff only nipped down to the shops because I'm full of the cold and that's all I could be bothered doing.

The first thing I noticed was how much easier it takes off, nearly went into the opposite kerb coming out of a T junction :o I'll probably notice it more through the week when I'm filtering.

Clutch feels as light as a feather after replacing the cable, not sure I like it!

I'll be waiting to hear from you if the adjustment actually made a noticeable difference, or whenever its just placebo. :p

Just saw this on SV FB group. https://www.facebook.com/IamKyleMil...0206533267348150.1073741847.1164715202&type=3 He should raise the back a little, its too low.

After spending the afternoon playing with the clutch adjustment after a few funny gear changes this morning I'm beginning to think I was sent the clutch cable for an N and not an S as apparently there is a 1cm difference with the N being longer which would explain me being right at the limit of the adjustment already.

 it's a pain in the flipping arse having parts suppliers who can't get the model right and the maker doesn't have a list of the part numbers which fit the models.

The only way I can tell for certain is stripping the cable out and measuring it, but that means either way fitting the cable again and this time I wouldn't have one fitted to guide it through the very first difficult bit of the frame. ARGH!

Might just splash out the £30 on an OEM cable and get a replacement clutch release assembly while I'm at it as mine is missing some bearings.

That would make sense why the N model clutch cable is longer, I still had play around with the cabling when I was swapping the bars to Renthals. It wasn't just a simple put on, there was a bit of playing around. I didn't use tape though, I just filed down the little bobs sticking out so just a little of it is left and screwed it in, no force will move it...

Did you get it from Ebay? I've order couple bits from one seller and its now been a week past the latest date. 1 more day and I can report this to ebay, this is like 3rd time I've had issues with an ebay seller. But looking at over 100 transactions, that ain't that bad. :p

Nope bought it from Wemoto.

Have ordered an OEM cable and a new clutch release assembly from Fowlers should be here tomorrow.

I've come to the conclusion that the TPS adjustment doesn't make a massive amount of real world difference considering it nearly had me throwing a tantrum.

Had the worst red light jumper (BMW, of course) I've seen for a long time this morning, a good 3-4 seconds after his light went red. Traffic light controlled crossroads, single carriageway in all directions. Me going left and traffic from my right stops before the lights let us go. He was so late through the red light that he was BEHIND me...:mad:

Lets just say I gave him a right few gestures. If I'd have been going straight over and/or been slower off the mark he have wiped me out

**** like that gets people killed. I was so tempted to pull over and have a strong word....

On the plus side, I smashed it at the gym this morning :D I need to do a gym session angry more often :p

Edit: This is pretty normal for this junction, I've just started to pull away here on amber (as we all do to not hold up anyone behind)

And now fully green, nothing that unusual...

I saw some crazy road rage yesterday in Brum! A car just pulled out of a junction without even checking, causing another car to swerve into the oncoming lane. The idiot then undercut the car and carried on. The led to the swerving car accelerating, forcing his way infront and forcing the idiot to stop.

A guy then jumped out and was raging at the other guy, I went round them and carried on. I'm sure I saw some fisticuffs in my rear window though!

I find riding my bike a lot less stressful than driving. Driving just brings out the worst in me and I swear everyone else on the road bar me is a colossal bumhole

I've officially had my first "oh crap" moment. Now I'm not sure if this was down to my arms being a bit weak post-gym as I wasn't going *that* no faster than 80/90 at most but as I was letting her go high in revs the front end went super wobbly so I eased off half sqeaky bum time half laughing.

Odd because I know that's never happened before and I've definitely gone faster. Could've went nasty lol
