Copper pipe.. Advice?

Not used the Kwix tool personally, but I've read very favourable comments in and around the ole interwebz on both computer mod blogs and plumbing forums.

I'm not too informed on the various copper pipe formats and treatments, so all I can say is hit up Google and see what comes up - you'll know better than I what's what

OK cool cheers. I was just going to run the copper through a hole the same diameter in a block of wood to straighten it. Think I may check out some videos of it

You can get lengths of 12mm copper pipe so I wouldn't buy coiled pipe and then pay for an expensive tool that will hardly be used. You can buy copper pipe in 2m lengths here.

That's really cheap stuff. Might get some. Does a normal 15mm bending tool work or do you need to get a 12mm one?

Quick question any one know how to get the copper to stay shiny once it's polished?

I think you are going to need one for 12mm, certainly the spring that goes inside while bending. You can polish the pipe up and then spray it with laquer to keep it shiny.

polishing up copper pipe sounds like a lot of effort

whats the theme here? a steampunk theme would work nicely with a bit of unpolished copper pipe

Copper pipe is easy enough to polish up all you need is the right stuff to do it. Someone did a build log here in which he finished off by giving the copper pipe a mirror finish and it looks great.

You can get copper looking nice and shiny with some salt and lemon juice. Did it to my GPU block and it worked a treat
