Does that not render the fan almost completely useless? Just going to be throwing air everywhere now surely?

Just seems all thats needed is a new shroud, so these could be coming quicker than the last ones as the rest of it seems to fit fine.
True I did have to wait for a while to get my original EVGA AIO upgrade but as EVGA appear to have discontinued that line of AIOs they are clearing stock at ~50% off in the US! They are still ~£90 over here of course.
Wheres the results though? No point if it just reaches the same overclock as its starved of juice......................
didnt corsair make one too and discontinue?
maybe there was some lawsuit or something lol
The third part of the video is up and in the results it shows the 1080 getting 10-20% better frames with a clock speed 700mhz faster than a 980ti
If they can only hit 2.2Ghz with this hybrid cooler then its either power holding them back or it won't make any difference as to what cooler you have as to your max overclock.
So 2160mhz is the max for this card on a hybrid, it needs another 6pin connector as I thought it just couldn't pull enough power to get anywhere near 2400+.
Should be a good indication what a none reference card will run at think we'll be seeing them promising boost clocks on 2000/2100mhz with 3 fans, which will be better. But for me it still isn't enough to swap a heavy O/C'd Ti/TX for until we see the cards with extra pins like the full fat EVGA hybrid.
