How is it that my GF in the middle of nowhere in Lincolnshire can get Fibre but me living in a large town has no such luck! ****ing useless providers!! Packet loss of the bain of my life right now and I wish they'd pull their thumbs out and get on with it!!

How is it that "Fibre - Coming soon to you" means 5 years and still on 0.7Mbps in BT-Speak?

My exchange in the middle of the nowhere lake district (think 2g signal if you're lucky and one person per square mile) got upgraded to fibre.
However I am too far away from the cabinet to get any benefit
3 miles of rolling countryside is just too much.
The whole thing happened in about 4 months.
That being said, packet loss should not occur on adsl either.

Is any of the town enabled or are you just one of the unfortunate ones in an address thats connected to a cabinet that isn't? Dense towns have more chance of cases where one neighboring street is enabled but the other isn't. In the end it all comes to down to cost and viability.

Yeah, there are streets close to me where its available but I still can't get it! Seriously frustrated at the time its taking.
