EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo missing

Also, why the need to say that terrorism is more likely than mechanical issues? Because the media (and OCUK GD) eat it up? Why start speculating before they actually know.

Well...because it is more likely, in this day and age it is very unlikely a plane such as this would just fall out of the sky in the manner it has without any warning from the pilots if it was a mechanical issue.

Terrorism on the other hand.....

Turned left 90° then right 360° whilst descending from 37,000ft to approx 15,000ft before contact lost.

Not sure what to make of it. You can only hope for something less bad to have happened..... :( sad news.

Media is depressing, minimal evidence this is anything terrorist related so now we're getting this spiel about "what if your plane has been to the middle east in past two weeks" instead, just to get the right level of fear factor.

Fear factor? Depressing reality more like.

What reality? That there is zero evidence this is terrorist related so far, zero evidence the fact the plane has been to the middle east has anything to do with anything?

What 'reality' is involved in broadcasting "oooooh your plane might have been to Tunisia, anyone could have put anything on that plane"? It's fear inducing nonsense being dragged up because there is virtually nothing else worth speculating about.

Looking like religion of peace - no real surprise but how did they get a bomb on a plane from a western airport?

Because it's an absolute piece of **** at just about any airport.

It's so shockingly easy for anyone who has worked in an a airport airside for a year to see how easy it is. So easy, I am amazed it doesn't happen more often. I would right a more detailed response how easy it is but I really don't want to do that on an open forum.

Scares the **** out of me tbh.

Well I know that but why would officials come out and say it instead of saying "we don't want to speculate, we're waiting for the facts".

Ok so you are scared - don't watch the news then.

24/7 news relies on speculation.

It's obviously going to be religion of peace- its tediously inevitable.

At which point did I say I was scared?

It's just depressing the length they'll stretch to in order to try and induce the Islamic fear with virtually no link.

If it was a depressing 'reality' that planes which have been to the middle east are liable to drop out the sky within a fortnight, we'd all be dodging bits of exploded aircraft in the drive to work.

Do you really think it's got anything to do with the fact it happened to go to Eritrea a week ago?

Could be? Seems weird to blow it up over the sea when it would like kill more innocent civilians over land.

Regardless RIP to the latest murdered by Islamic scum.
