Meh I fail to see how this will work unless the Facebook account is public.

Edit: Should ask wasn't the Uncle Sam image to do with getting support with the war effort?

It's not really spying if they request permission to view your profile.

If you dont want somebody to see your information, dont approve their request to view your information...

(also, what kind of 'news' site cites a forum post as their source? :/ )

Lol I knew Eddie would appear in this thread! He could literally have the leadship of the SNP take a dump on his lawn in front of him and he would still be checking their backsides for the sun shining from it!

I wouldn't notice the sun as it would be getting blocked out by the toe of my boot.

If this was true, every unionist newspaper would be featuring it on their front pages and the BBC would have it as their number one story on the Scottish news.
 
I don't really see any reason why this isn't true to be honest as it's not an outlandish claim that council investigators might actually gather evidence.
 
Could this be used for ***** and giggles in any way? You know, set up a Facebook account pretending to be from the area and then flood it with loads of nonsense about "disorder and perceived mischief" you're not going to commit.

If you didn't disguise yourself then it would profile you as.....such and such, which in the wrong political hands/relevance basically means you can dismiss the opposition.
