EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo missing

Not sure on the accuracy of it but the Telegraph live updates reports the wreckage and passengers have been found with no survivors.

RIP :(

That said, how long does it take to get an answer. Do we have an answer for why the other one crashed over Egypt last year?

It didnt crash it was blown up, They figured that out within a few months but as of yet can not yet 100% prove it was a bomb, despite all found evidence pointing towards it. Mainly because the egyptian authorities cant get their **** together - and its likely to happen with this plane aswell.

This is not actually statistically true, most people survive plane crashes.

are you counting crash as in plane was in the air and hits ground.

or "incidents" such as plane clips something taxing or has a hard landing or a tail strike?

as people dont tend to walk away from actual crashes.

How can you possibly come to that conclusion, without knowing the size and power of any potential explosive device and where it was located and the impact it had on the pilots controls?

It's a fair point, but saw this comment:
"Mike Vivian, former head of operations at the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority, told the BBC he thought the plane’s sudden swerves before dropping off radar were more likely to be caused by human interference than by a bomb."

Flight #MS804 goes missing exactly 804 days since #MH370 disappeared? Oh christ, the conspiracy theorists are going to love that one.

Bit odd that no one has claimed responsibility if it is a terrorist incident. Usually (but not always) someone claims responsibility pretty soon after.

Makes you wonder if there was a shuffle of some sort within the **** pit,Because the plane suddenly goes 90 degrees left ,starts to fall then does a hard 360 towards the right then looses altitude again before disappearing.

I mean surely if it had been a bomb it wouldn't have done the above...it would have remained its course as usual then just disappeared from radar.

I did wonder something similar. There were three (presumably armed) security guards that I assume could access the cabin if needed. How about one deciding to go suicidal? We have had at least one pilot suicide in the last couple of years, possibly two of you count MH370.

Law of unintended consequences?

Aye, personally I think it's going to be a similar situation to Germanwings perhaps.

There was a suggestion the plane was flying between 10-40mins before it crashed whilst ignoring radio messages.

Or it came within range of mobile triggers? Go boomboom.
Who knows, lets wait for the data recorders, anything the Egyptians say at this stage will likely turn out to be guff, it was the last night.
Strange thing is, if it was a terrorist act, usually some group has claimed it, afaik no one has thus far, which seems odd.

This is from the aviation herald although it doesn't seem to be being reported elsewhere for the moment:
