I am not hyped in the slightest.

I went and spent the money on mag fed paintball kit instead since I got bored of waiting for either company :-p

Now this is how i want reviewers to be like! NO BS and do a in-depth analysis. Cuts the crap and gets to the point and getting those more realistic performance results which as gamers is what we care about when choosing cards.

I am only on a lowly GTX960,but think I might spend some money on a new carbon fibre tripod instead.

Think waiting a while might give optimal value for money at this rate, and once AMD and Nvidia have fully launched their ranges they can duke things out.

i like this guys reviews. im especially interested in his view that AMD are going to make mgpu viable with the next generation of consoles.

EDIT - what happened to this being a cherry picked card?

It's probably the same card just clocked a bit higher, too many have fallen for the marketing on this one. :p

With the temps this card reaches the green team doesn't seem so green!

After watching this video, it's really frightening to know that Nvidia can get away with manipulate cards to look to have amazing performance in benchmarks, but users in actually gaming environment with the card in a case won't be getting close to those performance, when the card is actually be stressed constantly for more than a few mins like and boost clock ain't going up anywhere as much due to higher temp than open bench :o

In a nutshell, people are paying 50% higher price than 980 launch price for 50% more performance (in real-world usage) after 20 months and a die shrink

I guess people should avoid the "Founder Edition" (might as well call it "Can't Boost like Open Bench Edition"), and wait for 3rd party 1080 with better coolers.

That was a very good review. I do like ones where they just give you a nice sequence of facts and analysis at a good pace without too much frippery.

Also had a chuckle at "We know the Fury X can't overclock for ****" and "Techspot, my arse." :)
