Apparently the current clubcard boost (til 26th June) will the be the last chance to double up.

Normally I'd ignore it as marketing, and assume something else will replace the boost mechanism, but I've not had any money-off coupons in the post for the last 2 quarters and it makes me suspicious.

I have about £150 of cc points which can be converted to £300 on the right goods. There is absolutely nothing I want at the minute and I'd rather not spend aimlessly. However, I'd also rather not lose the opportunity if Tesco have turned miserly in fear of Aldi/Lidl eating their profits.

To spend or not to spend / are Tesco playing safe?

I've seen it reported in the press that Tesco are ending the boost with nothing to replace it. I'd use the vouchers. If there's nothing you specifically want, why not just use them for general food shopping?

The missus and I use this heavily for the restaurant boost deals and have done for years. It sucks that they're stopping it.

We are planning to get a Lazy-Spa and having read this thread it prompted me to have a look. Its included so looks like thats what we will be boosting for. Sad to see it go though, usually took care of a large Xmas present for one of the kids. :(

You can use them against shopping at any time though, the point is to potentially get the maximum value from them now while the boost is on.

Was going to use some of mine to get a PS4 game last night but it was the only one in the charts out of stock. Typical.

I do struggle to find things to buy but have found a few genuine bargains, often the normal price is too high. So this time I'm going to replace my Moto G (gen1) with a Moto G (gen 3) for £63.00 after vouchers. My gen 1 was also a boost bonus and the standard price is competitive.

are you sure the boost portion of the clubcard is actually ending? (for boosting for meal vouchers etc?)

The FAQ is a bit vague but suggests it's only ending instore (so boosting online for other stuff eg days out/ meal vouchers will still work.)

Doubled my vouchers up and got Uncharted 4 yesterday. Will miss the boost scheme but will be surprised if they don't come up with something new.

I read about this a few days ago and this was my understanding.

Did I not read that they sold off the Clubcard to anther company last or the year before?

Maybe they are dumping them, although I would have imagined that the new company would have made them sign a contract to retain the scheme for at least a number of years.

Used mine to buy PSN credit, don't use Tesco much these days, Lidl is closer and a ridiculous amount cheaper.

from looking at the FAQ it is just the Tesco boosting thats ending, and they will be improving the boost partners offers IE: pizza express etc

The offers that come from outside of Tesco don't appeal to me. Things like Thorpe Park are always half-price, and if I go out for dinner I usually avoid chains.

I'll definitely be cashing these in for some product or other. Maybe the little hand held Dyson.

On the other hand, Best Western give 3x boost and I need to be away on business a lot.

Is it illegal with regards to tax to pay with Tesco points then claim back full from your company, or just a grey area? The company would have to pay either way.
