Last Tesco clubcard boost

So will things like 4x for the zoo be ending or not ?

Those are the only ones use really

Did I not read that they sold off the Clubcard to anther company last or the year before?

Maybe they are dumping them, although I would have imagined that the new company would have made them sign a contract to retain the scheme for at least a number of years.

Clubcard is run by Dunhumby, a consumer science and data company owned by Tesco. There were talks of Tesco selling it off to raise cash last year but they didn't get near the £2bn valuation they were after so didn't bother.

Suspect they are stopping the instore clubcard boost to enable to them to reinvest the money in lowering prices instead. While the data that clubcard allows Tesco to gather on their customers is invaluable the age of loyalty cards to lure customers in is probably coming to an end. Tesco have been changing their strategy over the last year to focus on reducing price and improving availability - their FY results this year would suggest its working too.

Therefore, our Boost at Tesco event this May will be the last where you can double your voucher value in store and online.

In the coming months, we’ll be doing more to help you get the most out of the scheme, such as double points events to help grow your points balance faster and improving our Boost Partners offer, where you can already get up to four times the value of your vouchers. We’ll update you with more details on this soon.

Seems pretty clear. Double up ends. Normal points still valid for use as straight money off or can still be used with partners for upto 4x value.

Only use it for RAC. Scaled back our tesco trips and spending as it's the worst of the supermarkets in Cambridge.
Really? Sainsburys and Waitrose are ridiculously expensive. I literally emptied my basket of veg in Waitrose yesterday after noticing that every item was at least +50% if not double the cost. Cycled home and drove to Cherry Hinton.

For sure the worst supermarket in Cambridge has to be the asda in the retail park just north of the station (where I used to shop).

Im pretty sure asda is generally cheapest, but shop at tesco cos I have a motor and it's near work/home. Asda delivered shopping to my new address and where very rude to me!

Interestingly when I worked in retail a couple years ago they said the average shopper is worth approx 25k in a lifetime.

I agree about asda. It's feels very grotty in comparison and I dislike the packaging and presentation of their meat.
It looks tacky and therefore poor quality, bit there's probably nothing wrong with it. I only stop by for cheap spirits.
