You don't sell it whole.

But then you wouldn't be able to make anything worthwhile. The scrap value of an 11 year old car can't be much, but as a car it's worth a lot more than your usual Type R.

I think the car will be found.

To be honest they took it out for the thrill as these aren't worth that much these days

Most cars like Type Rs are worth more in parts that they are whole.

This is likely the out come, it's likely to be found after a few days either crashed or on fire.

But if they did steal to sell, they will break it for parts. It's easier to sell on and worth more.

Karma? How many forums and pages are you banned from now for ripping people off? Didn't you do TinyTomLogan at one point too? Are insurance even involved?

Surprised your still on here, only come around every now and again when you have a car for sale :p

What's this ?

Feel sorry for the guy, but if he's a bit of a con artist then maybe not.

Shots fired!

We've had enough of this sort of stuff in Acme's thread, lets not fill the forum with it chaps :) Never bought anything off Soul.Survivor but spoken to him a bit before and he seems a nice enough lad so if he's not done anything to anyone on here then perhaps there is no need to drag potential issues up, emphasis on potential - i.e. not definite.

inb4 it's a personal attack, no - just doesn't deserve a sympathy thread.

This one was literally top when I logged into Facebook a few minutes ago.

Bought an FN2 from him, seemed a really nice guy, car looked alright other than a little bit of dodgy paint*, few weeks/months later get it on a ramp to have a rattle checked (by an MOT tester) and see some incredibly bad welding along the chassis - no way was it an MOT pass despite it being MOT'd days just before he sold it to me.
Lost about a grand on that one including fixing the terrible repairs and letting the next buyer know about it, who was happy enough after seeing it up on the ramp.

* I took no notice of the paint tbh as it was the first car I'd ever purchased, went alone, and had read that Civic paint wasn't the greatest. But having shown it to others up close they reckoned it was definitely resprayed at some point.

They will either strip it or send it to eastern Europe (where most stolen cars end up).

But those guys don't sound to smart and it seems like they only found the keys by luck. So they probably aren't that organised and will get caught.
