Flew 2.5h to and from Iceland. Got snack+drink, followed very shortly afterwards with meal+drink. Was not expecting the meals so had already eaten whilst waiting. Stashed the meal for later. Roll, wrap, pudding cup, cheese, bit of fruit.
I was in Exeter airport at 5am the other day for a flight to london and a crowd of lads were all having beer/cider. Made me feel ill just thinking about it
Incidentally the flight to london is so short that its almost parabolic and they still serve food and drink (not free, damnit Flybe). Quite funny when they do it coming out of London City, which is a steep climb - they have to wrestle with the trolley to get it "uphill"

They do not and cannot commence drink service when on initial climbout from LCY! It'll be later into the flight and although it might look steep at that point it'll be no steeper than any other flight out of any other airport.
Leeds-Bradford Airport is full of people having beers at 9am.
I had a drink at 05:30 when leaving from Reykjavík Airport.
