Dark Souls 3?

Just realized I'd forgot to beat the Nameless King on my first character.
Had 1 go, just managed to get through stage 1 then he just killed me instantly in stage 2.

2nd try...I beat both stages with only 1 Estus...lol
I think I may have just got lucky...a few hits stunned the dragon so that went down in 30 seconds then he just kept spamming the lightning strike which is easy to dodge so I used great magic weapon and just chipped away.

I expected this fight to take a while...but if I did indeed get lucky with his moves i'll take it :p

I then fought an NPC at Abyss watchers bonfire and he wrecked me!!!

I bought DS1 again so I can play through it on XB1 BC (I never completed it on the PS3). Bought DSII on PS4 on Saturday and after I've put myself through all that pain I will buy this. It'll take me a while I think but I'm looking forward to it.

I have done something similar. My PS3 drive bit the dust so I'm currently playing through DS1 on my PC, then I have DS2 and DS3 waiting for me on PS4. I'm not sure how far in I am (currently in Sen's Fortress) but all I keep thinking is I wish I had time to do a 2nd playthrough of this. I just hope DS2 and DS3 are even close to being as good.

DS1 - I've only done 3 bosses so far. Haven't had a lot of time recently (Uncharted 4) so I snatch an hour here and there but I am loving what I am playing, even if I have done the first third of the game a couple of times now (though never completed it). I still marvel at how the levels are structured and intertwined. Superb level design, probably the best I've ever seen. Game is as nails as I remember too.

Jesus you guys are going to burn out hard on the series like that. These are long, tense, difficult games. I always need a breather in between playing them.

I could feel differently at the end of DS1 or even DS2 but when I finished Bloodborne, I didn't want a breather.. I wanted more. I do see what you're saying though, I play in small bursts (1-2 hours a night) so maybe that helps. I guess my concern is by the time I get to DS3 everybody will have moved on to something else and I'll miss out on the multiplayer aspects of the game.

I've given my DS3 a break, Finished the story once and got to half way again in a few hours, but lost interest, So i've been back and finished AC black flag finally, and now have Sydicate to do along with DS1 :o

Currently trying to defeat Gwyn on DS1 before i delve into the third but christ this guy just doesnt want me to heal!

Dark Souls 2 is worth a go, but Dark Souls 3 is your next game imo, if anything it improves on DS1(and has the same lore/story elements). DS1's level design is still the best in From Software's history.

I study the lore quite a bit in these games. Infact a mate asked what the hell I've been doing because I've played 22 hours and I'm only at Anor Londo now, I spend half my time looking under anything I can find and reading item descriptions etc etc. Without spoiling anything if you can please, why skip DS2? Is it so far disconnected from DS1?

There is little connection between 2 and 1, 2 is still a great game as far as games go, but playing 3 with 1 fresh in your mind is your best bet. I think 3 is on par with 1 therefore a masterpiece. Better then DS2 and Bloodborne.

I've played and finished 2 and really enjoyed it, 1 is fantastic tho, but havent touched it since 3, I'm thinking of starting over tho as i killed a NPC i needed :o

My friend is going through it also and is up to Sens fortress which sounds like great fun lol.

Sen's Fortress is tough. I didn't die much but it's mentally draining, there's so many things I was constantly worried about. I was pretty relieved to get to the boss, that fight was much easier than the area itself.

I forgot about the giant hurling fire stones, and didn't get the NPC summon sign. Did it, but what a pain. Sen's Fortress is my least favourite level, everything about it is hard, but amazing level design.Certainly a level that you need to play cautiously unless you do a speed run and avoid the enemies, which defeats the point of the game! Taurus Demons, make sure you have the rusted ring!

DS1 Update - Titanite Demons really suck. I swear out of all the enemies in the game, bosses and normal enemies alike these things kill me the most. I need demon titanite though to upgrade some of the weapons I really like so I have to go after them, ends in tears a lot though -_-

Happy days, just defeated Nameless King and Soul of Cinder, that's the first Souls game I've made it all of the way through :) The ending was a bit underwhelming but it was a heck of a ride getting there.

Will hang on to it for the DLC as it's the most rewarding game I've played this year (when I wasn't wanting to throw my controller out of the window).
