I've never been brand orientated and would always buy the best bang for buck of the class that I wanted. However I have voted EVGA now due to their warranty and all the positive things I have read about their customer service on here.

I originally bought my Gigabyte mobo and GPU last summer thinking it was a good move because of the UK support but since then I have read a lot of bad posts about them.

I've never had to RMA a faulty mobo or GPU, so touch wood I wont need to with my current setup!

I've had 4 or 5 MSI AMD/nVidia cards before I bought my current EVGA hybrid so I'll stick with them for the foreseeable future. No actual complaints about the MSI cards I liked the Hybrid design.

Gainwood because it had 0 votes.
But EVGA or MSI are my go to brand.
Asus can go **** themselves with their brand tax.
Gigabyte had too many issues with coil whine which puts me off them.
KFA2 HOF is just overhyped **** because 8Pack is involved with it. But I love the white PCB.
Inno3D is getting there and produce some decent cards, I might consider them next time and put them alongside EVGA and MSI.
Every other brand has poor warranty, some don't allow warranty transfer or don't allow cooler removal.

Will be watching MSI to see if they produce one with their typical big, quiet cooling option. Love my MSI 760, so quiet I can hear my water pump over it, but very much time for an upgrade :)

Failing that, whoever produces the quietest cooler, tbh.

Whichever brand produces a nice quiet card and sells it for less than £550.

Or will that be no brand? :(

I usually but MSi as I've never had a problem with any of the stuff I get from them but EVGA has a great track record for customer service and now has UK rma center and since this will be my first Nvidia card since the 9600gt I thought I would go for what is considered the best AIB for Nvidia.

EVGA (Step up thingy)
KFA2 (got a KFA2 970 Infin8 Black Edition & it's been absolutely fine)
OcUK Same Price Edition

In that order.

Ofc I won't be buying a founders edition card. I'll be waiting for the AIB cards & 3-4 months down the line from now.

If I was going to buy one it would be EVGA. They seem to be most in tune to the end user requirements. (Perfectly happy with stock cooler removal under warranty as well as having a reliable support system)

Quality cards, warranty, service, step up options
You get a reply within a few hours from an actual person. You are able to upgrade warranty to 5 / 10 years. Upgrade of warranty delivery times.
Hardware is always great quality.

E.g. Card throttles at low temperature. I received a brand new card, no issues at all using the service.

this. In fact last time i used EVGA warranty they didnt make the product anymore and didnt have any old stock so upgraded me to a brand new latest, much more expensive product free of charge.

A little bit of wee just came out :p

Yeah mean having a 10 year warranty didnt seem silly when they might swap a 8800gtx out with a new 1080gtx if it breaks :P

|Plus it means EVGA hold their second hand value better than most as well because the warranty is transferable.

I dont think extended (5 or 10 year) warranty is. At least the last time I checked on the evga site it wasnt. I would always sell stating i woukd assist with warranty issues anyway so doesnt matter

Your right, extended is just for first buyers. Still nice to have and if you use the step up program the extended warranty transfers as well.

EVGA have the best warranty service AFAIK. I thought Gigabyte allowed this too but I don't think it's the case. They have a strange system of starting the warranty from the manufacture date also.

Very difficult to get clear, up to date, black and white terms of the warranty from almost all partners actually, which is a travesty for consumers. EVGA are one of the few that let you know where you stand.

Let me make a correction here since it was like this in the past but not anymore.
If you are able to provide proof of purchase, that date will be the starting date for your 3 year warranty.

Also, we don't advertise a transferable warranty. But if you can provide said proof of purchase it doesn't matter who asks the card to be serviced.
