But......by selling a 980ti now for say £380 and buying a 1080 for £630 you are spending over £750 for not a lot more performance. I think better to keep the 980ti for a couple more years.
Depends on how much money your willing to spend for these sorts of things. I sold my 980 Ti for £410 and I imagine the EVGA Hybrid 1080 will be no more than £600 tops. 20% increased performance, less heat and less noise for a couple hundred is definitely worth it to me. But then I'm the sort of person who will also upgrade to the 1080 Ti when it comes out.
I have a 100Hz 3440x1440 screen that can always use more graphical power even with games that are a couple of years old.
