Just about to order one up as I have been given the go ahead by the SWMBO

Been looking get getting one for a few months now and today they had an equipment enhancement that makes it sweeter.

Any owners on forum here ?

Gonna spec it up with the DSG Box on 19" with DCC / Tech Pack / Keyless / Camera

Anything else I should spec up ?

Thanks in advance for any advice about the car

Ordered mine a couple of days ago, can't wait! :)

I wanted the 19" with manual, but they had a DSG with the standard alloys available within 3-4 weeks so went for that.

Errrm pretty sure the golf r come with leather as standard. Before I got my GTD, I looked at a few and they all had leather seats.

:D

Nah they come with the cloth as standard .. which I'm not that bothered about.

Got leathers in my existing Golf and boy are they are a bit hot in the summer.

It's a £1900 option. Not exactly standard, or cheap. And is just a retrim, not like the super sports or anything out an Audi, or like the Recaros out a RS4.

Ahh right I guess the dealership aka stealership was trying to get me to spend more money haha.

Yep my GTD has full leather and in hot weather they get pretty hot, shame they don't put cooling like some mercs have. But then heated seats in winter makes life a bit more bearable lol.

Not forgetting pretty rubbish quality. Within a few weeks my GTD leather seats suffered a slight rip so had them replace it with a new seat. Thankfully the new one is fine 2 yrs on.

But still compared to Audi and merc, the leather on the golf isn't that great.

The MK7 is only 2 years old. Most of the big lease deals only started last year.

There were deals on the Mk6 too and the M135 and neither used market is flooded with cheap examples.

What colour would you suggest Tom ? Nowt wrong with white ...

White is a good colour for a Golf if it's a diesel estate used for vending machine repair but on an R, blue is best.

I dont really like the Lapiz Blue that is on the R , but im half considering the Reflex Silver.

I've gone with Lapiz Blue. Looking at the pictures I wasn't that sure about it but when I seen one up close in person I was sold :D
