Monaco Grand Prix 2016, Monte Carlo - Race 6/21

Ricciardo keeps dropping back for a few laps and then coming back at Hamilton.

Alonso better at picking tyres than Jenson?

I my phrasing makes more sense. Why would Hamilton risk Ricciardo within DRS time?

edit:

Brundle agrees with you.

Ricciardo sees to have a much more consistent car. The Mercedes seems very peaks and troughs with its tyres. As if pushing them overheats them.

The racing line is to cut the corner completely?

Put down the crack pipe. Be rational.

It is to take the outside of the track for the next corner. Unlike Rosberg he did leave space. Just don't know right now if it was enough (it was close).

Since the stewards have decided against a penalty, I think there was.

did rosberg?

Yes, FIA even said so, they stated Hamilton had part of his car alongside Rosberg and Rosberg pushed him off, they chose not to penalise him for it, god knows why. Hamilton left a gap, Ricciardo didn't know Hamilton was going to leave the gap so he backed off and wiggled about under breaking making it look a lot more dramatic than it was.

I can completely understand Ricciardo's reaction as had he stayed in and Hamilton hadn't left room he'd be done. But you're talking about leaving room vs not leaving room, only one of those is wrong. If Rosberg had been ultra aggressive slammed over but left one cars width exactly, no one would have said anything but that isn't what Rosberg did.
