Nvidia 1080 Crashing Warhammer Total War

Anyone else playing Warhammer Total War with a 1080?


I've been playing it fine with the onboard 980m, but got a 1080 this morning to use the Graphics Amplifier.

I did a clean install of the desktop drivers, yet it's black screening on startup, crashing in game but an alt-tab in and out fixes it.

Anyone got any ideas?

I posted in the war hammer thread.

try the following:

disable steam overlay
do not use fraps or precision x (latest afterburner beta for 1080 is ok)
turn off all vsync in nvidia control panel
make sure game is running in windowed mode. you will need to edit config manually or once the game has booted up, set windowed mode there.
