Was at Morrisons on Thursday and as I came back to my car saw a little kid all rather excited with his mum looking at my car. So, as I had a couple of minutes I asked if he wanted to sit in and push the button to start it up.

Anyway, the mum posted something on facebook last night on the town community run group.

"Post anon please: A big thank you to the gentleman with the silver nissan gtr who let my son sit in your car and push the button to turn it on. He has autism and was having a bad day, but you really cheered him up and its all he's talked about since Thursday. He loves his model cars and has ferraris and porshes and mclarens but now I need to find him one like yours as its his new favorite. Most people see he is a little bit different and make excuses or avoid talking to him but you didnt , you talked to him like an adult and made him feel special so thank you for taking the time."

Your drive a GTR and don't shop at Waitrose?

I kid :p

The thank you post is nice, you should feel good. It's the small things.

You clearly need to organise a ride out for him!

Good show. I always take the time for people. My dogs get a lot of attention so I always make time for anyone to make a fuss of them.

That's what life is all about, moments like that. Easy to get caught up in the rat race and forget it.

Had one today after my lad's party. We had left over party bags because some never turned up or bothered to tell us. There was a kid playing on his own when we were packing up to leave.

Handed his old man a party bag for his boy. On the way out we saw him walking down the road playing with the toys from it looking chuffed.

All the small things, like you say.

A couple of minutes and a small thing to you, made someone else's day. Stuff like this restores the belief there are still some good people out there

sounds like you have started something there - lots of others trying to arrange a meet up with the kid to have a play in their motors.

Nice one!

Was just reading through the facebook page and looks like there going to organise a meet up and also looks like you made your family proud as well. Top Gesture and as others have said maybe only took you minutes but seems to have made a massive diffrence to the lad involved. Well done
