Just swapped my strix order and got the evga ftw instead
The thing that swung it for me with EVGA was not only their excellent CS but the fact the warranty can be transferred. Makes them a much more attractive card in the second hand market in my opinion.

And the first for the Asus headlines with:
ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 offers poor overclocking

I ordered the Asus Strix, having intended to buy an EVGA FTW. For me, the reasoning was that I couldn't see how fast the FTW would be and Asus has clearly designed things with similar priorities to EVGA and done so at a decent price point.
The fact that Asus have developed a new way of making boards (the hilariously named Auto Extreme technology) impressed me too. That, and the special RMA arrangement Asus have with Overclockers UK were the things that swung it for me. Details are here:
Yes, it's a bit fugly, but then most cards are. The EVGA cards aren't much better looking, plus it's what's uinside that counts, and when the coolers are removed, it's the best looking board there has ever been.![]()

So what your saying is, your contributing to the rising unemployment in Taiwan.![]()
Just checking if anyone knows. As mentioned a bit above, I swapped the strix for the evga ftw. The guy on the phone said that it was swapped and i'd be refunded the £11 difference, but i received no email or confirmation that it was actually swapped. Is this usual? Has anyone else swapped and had the same thing?
Given the fact that the Strixs out of box clocks have been released and the FTWs are TBA...
