I7 3770k upgrade for gaming please

I know there will be a lot of people with different opinions.

but i was thinking of this.

but it's mainly for gaming, and a bit of video music work, but mainly gaming in SLI. I would like 32Gb of ram too

For video it would be an upgrade but, most likely you will see no benefit over an overclocked 3770k at all when it comes to gaming.

If you haven't overclocked your cpu, then you definitely should.

The 6800k does look like a good buy if you need more than 4 cores for future proofing, but the 6900k is overkill imo.

£500 for an extra two cores is a lot when the 6800k with 6 cores is £359.99 - £379.99

Your current setup is still fine. If you want extra ram then just buy another 16GB kit. As you are mainly gaming then an 8 core cpu is overkill.

Corsair Dominator is gorgeous but has always been stupidly overpriced. Often you can get the exact same IC's from another vendor in an ugly duckling heatspreader for much less money.

Yeah maybe but i was looking at the 40 lanes version that's why I picked it, but i'm put off upgrading now lol.

It would be throwing money away imo. Your current system is still more than capable.
