What PC games are you playing?

Dark Souls (1)

My first DS game. It's pretty brilliant. Enjoying the challenge, quite like the repetition of trying/dying/retrying/dying...

Don't understand much of what goes on in the inventory, or what the difference in being Human/Undead is, or plenty of other stuff, but I'm barrelling through regardless. Only beaten a couple of bosses, after 5 or 6 hours.

Because it's kind of important:

Being human means you're able to summon help, but you also put yourself at risk of invasion by other humans and invader NPC's. Several invader NPC's have good equipment they drop if you can beat them.

You'll want to pay attention to what's in your inventory. Read the descriptions or else you're going to miss out on some things. And not just the lore...

Also dont be afraid to check a Wiki if you need to. There's many things the game wont explain to you that's worth looking up if you're wondering about something. Just dont follow any 'walkthrough' or anything. At least not until you've already gotten through an area and just want to see what you may have missed(and you WILL miss lots of things).

Started Mad Max last night. Only played for about an hour and enjoying it more than I thought. I am worried I'll find it repetitive but for a fiver I thought I'd give it a try.

Thanks. I'm not much into the RPG side of things, so was just leaving it alone really, aside from spending some souls on somewhat randomly chosen stat upgrades before I died and lost them all (again, and again). Might have a bit of a read around then, as it sounds worthwhile.

It's very repetitive but very enjoyable. Just like...

The Division. 201hrs in and still find pressing mouse button 1 on enemies heads to be hugely rewarding. I don't think I've ever played a game so repetitive for so long and not gotten sick of it. Even the flamer's gas tank ignition hasn't gotten old.

Every day:
Bioshock
F.E.A.R Perseus Mandate

Every other day:
Alien Isolation
Dead Island Definitive edition

Once or twice a week (older games being played through again at the awesome 3440x1440 resolution):

Finally got around to the overhaul with morrowind.

Fantastic game, all i remember it being from about 13 years ago. Problem with imersion though, it crashes a fair bit. Quicksave helps, but it drops you out of the game a bit when you find yourself on the desktop every 5 minutes.

Good fun though doing all the RPG type stuff i had no clue about before:)

currently around 50% completion on batman arkham knight and think its just as good as the others. the world they have created is excellent and the gliding is by far the best of the entire series & as for the batmobile I fully expected to hate it after everything I had read about it but after starting a little tedious I have come to enjoy the car aswell

Dark Souls 3.... still. Just PvP at the minute though, before I start another run through. Still playing the Division with my mate, soon to be Overwatch though(wish he would play Dark Souls 3!)

You can play offline while embered if you don't want the hassle of 90% of invaders acting like prats, no honour. You will get the important NPC invasions still(and NPC summon signs to help with some bosses)..

Atm I am spitting my time between A massive playthrough of Fallout 4, currently 40 hours in and loving it, and Witcher 3 Blood and Wine, which is very high quality as you would expect, but doesn't really feel very fresh tbh.

^To me, it just doesn't feel right to start these big expansions until after the main quest ahas finished...Automatron on the other hand I did quite early and thought it was great.

Been a while since I got into an FPS but Batllefield 1 has got me excited so went looking for one and ended up settling on INsurgency, really enjoying it so far, it can be tough though!

Currently playing the division but it's losing it's flair real quick. Also playing rise of the tomb raider and loving it. Glad to have a system that can play it now :) had to wait a few months to get on it not sure what i will be playing next though my favorite style games are story driven and have played probably the majority of releases in the last several years. Any recommendations?

For a *truly* story-driven game, have you played Tales from the Borderlands?
