Event in general was fantastic I'm thrilled for Bisping deserved it imo, many people shut him down and he constantly proves people wrong. Holloway aswell wow, animal and only 24.

That was a great event. Holloway was superb, Henderson battled back brilliantly in a really entertaining fight with Lombard, and then to top it all off Bisping shocks everyone by winning the title. The only negatives were the Cruz vs Faber fight was a bit boring imo, and that guy Green in the first televised fight was atrocious. He had some of the worst stand-up I've ever seen in the UFC.

War Hunto :D

Worth noting that Lesnar decided to fight again about three months ago apparently. That would mean enough time to cycle off the PED's before the USADA hit him...

Just got round to watching 199.

All I can say is WOW, couldn't see Bisping winning via KO but that was some GSP Vs Serra type ****. A cool £80 in my pocket along with the first British UFC champion, happy days :)

Rockhold was far too confident, nothing more delicious than seeing someone get pasted with that mentality. Bobby Green is another one!

Apart from that, crazy last 10 seconds in the Holloway fight was great viewing. Hendo awesome elbow and Cruz being Cruz, boring.

Good event.

Oh, and Brock Lesnar at UFC200?!??!?!?!? Bonkers!!!

well done

Thankyou kindly :)

Dana will have been biding his time to block Ariel, he always asks the tough questions. Shame, he's the best in the business for me.

Damn shame, was obviously never going to be elite but by all accounts was a good guy outside of the cage, and was entertaining inside it.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was related to his heart in some way, just been done for ****** hot and likely taking all sorts :/

RIP.

UFC apparently lifted the ban on Helwani which isn't totally unexpected, Dana and Lorenzo flexing and putting him in his place.

rip Kimbo :/

so, Hunt v Brock, thats a huge fight, i wonder if they will switch things up and make this the main event, dropping Jones v DC to co-main

Nah, doubt they will do that. Probably co-main.

Which in itself is pretty ridiculous, as there are two more title fights on the card. Still, Brock is Brock and a massive draw.

Unreal card though, even the very first fight with Miller and Gomi should be a good one. I still think UFC100 was better... mainly because I was there :p

Edit: Lesnar opening up at 13/8 ... seems bonkers to me. He will almost certainly go for the take down, and early. Hunt has a chance of catching him on the entrance, but other than that? When Lesnar gets on top, that's the end of that. Guy is a beast.

What a wild and wacky week for combat sport...

I am extremely pleased for Bisping and I think his win over the weekend is excellent for MMA, a true story of a doubted underdog putting his stamp in history and becoming the first English UFC champion after a long road. I do however disagree with the way in which he conducted himself post fight with the comments made in the presser and some of the footage released in the media.

Cruz with a sensational iron out of one of the better bantamweight fighters the division has to offer at time of writing and as much as an 'expected' result he showed some crafty new tricks as well as the staple you'll see from Cruz.

Holloway proving again why he is ranked top 5 material and a serious challenge for the belt holder at Featherweight (the throw down in the final 10 seconds was a beautiful touch as well :))

In some non-fight related news reporter Ariel Helwani & a couple others part of MMAFightingsbn.com were escorted from the venue prior to the main event on Saturday due to confirming and releasing the news that Brock Lesnar was returning for 200 in the media. This was followed by a permanent ban for Ariel & members of MMAFightingsbn from all UFC events.

This ban was later withdrawn by the UFC.

Unlikely steroids caused it, guy never really looked after himself properly, the fight with Dada 5000 badly damaged them both.

Wasn't suggesting that they were the sole cause, but combined with his lifestyle I can't imagine they helped.

To be fair, my original post was pretty crap.
