You can do cash withdrawals with revolut for no cost as long as it's less than £500. It has interbank exchange rates.

ive been using a revolut card for 6 months while in France and not ahd a probelm with it, apart from petrol stations dont accept it. only problem is the app can be slightly buggy for me at times but would reccomend overall.

What is the fraud protection like on the Revolut card....?

Pretty good in theory (never had to use it)

you can block and unblock your card as you wish through the app

other options are

disable magstripe payments
disable atm withdrawals
dissable online transactions
location based security

these can all be turned on and off through the app instantly so seems pretty well protected

So that sounds like 'not good at all' then? None of that helps against fraud, it all protects against theft once you've discovered the card is missing.

I'll ask again - what if somebody clones the card and spends $500 on it? What happens?

With a proper credit card - you get the money back. What happens with a Revolut card?

Well the card looks like a Mastercard. I can only assume without checking that you get the default protection any Mastercard would get?

It is a MasterCard debit not credit. So unfortunately I believe your assumption is wrong. It is a major flaw with these type of cards. I can't see it mentioned anywhere on the site.
