Kimbo Slice dead at 42

Must be dem dirty roids, rather than the years of taking a kicking or a multitude of other things.

Most likely yes. It says he died of heart failure and studies show that steroid use can cause heart failure. He recently tested positive for steroids in the bellator so it's most likely the cause.

Quite sad regardless the cause.

Honestly surprised him or Dada5000 didn't die in their 'fight'. With it being discredited I would've loved a rematch too

I'm almost certain there is not a single clinical study on the planet that shows that.

Long-term anabolic steroid use may weaken the heart more than previously thought, a new study finds. Steroid-related heart impairment is severe enough to potentially increase the risk of heart failure. The left ventricle, the heart muscle primarily responsible for pumping blood throughout the body, was significantly weaker among steroid users.

Taking high doses of steroids (glucocorticoids) seems to increase the risk of heart disease including heart attack, heart failure, and stroke, according to new research.

The Glamorgan team also studied the effects of long-term steroid use among 40 body builders who had been using them for more than 20 years. Three of the sample group, all in their early 40s, died during the study period, all of them suddenly. Dr Fergal Grace, a member of the team, said: "Although none were officially linked to steroids we believe they were likely to have played a part."

Narcissistic idiots and cheating losers use roids, more fool them!

glucocorticoids are not even close to the same as AAS.

The other 2 studies show no definitive link, the first states it may potentially increase the risk, the second they were likely to have played a part although there was nothing to prove it.

Using steroids is only cheating if they're prohibited by the contest you're competing in, if they aren't then it's fair game.

Multiple young footballers have suddenly dropped dead on the pitch, therefore football causes death. Stupid statement right?

He had a fight coming up at Bellator (an MMA organization) in London next month.

He was caught on steroids 2 times previously so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume it's what has done his heart in.

42 is no age, he has 6 kids too :(

Poster above, Dada did actually technically die that fight :/

Okay if that is true, maybe a rematch wouldn't have been worth.

Had me actually thinking he was dead there for a second

Didn't follow his fights or anything but yeah I've saw some of his backyard fights also

Scary to die at just 42, Rip.

Roid abuser alert. ;)

Yes because it's still a bad representation to a young group of influential people. Cheaters should be punished more harshly.

Problem is nearly every professional sportsmen and women would fit this category if they were compared to the few that didn't cheat.
